So putting a harness on a flea has got to be harder than threading a needle. That’s new information I didn’t need.

The modern chinese versions are a pretty poor version of the Edison battery. If you read the explanation of NiFe Edison cells, it says very clearly that the active materials DO NOT dissolve in the electrolyte. The chinese versions use something called VARTA technology.......where the reactants are in paste form, and they absolutely DO dissolve in the electrolyte, and the cells basically lose their ability to hold charge because the electrolyte becomes loaded with dissolved iron, shorting out the cells.

@noonco Is there an easy way to estimate the amp hours of a cell? For instance, the chinese e240 cells are 240 ah, and have a cell of maybe 12+ plates within. Your mason jar was perhaps 1 or so amps, and only used 2 plates, so I'm wondering how the scaling works. Otherwise, I guess I'll work on a prototype and figure it out the hard way, lol. Looking at some 30 gallon and 15 gallon barrels as options. The 15 gallon ones would make scaling the voltage of the bank easier space wise, even if the capacity is lower.

Good video. I've got a Zager ZAD50CE that I picked up used from Guitar Center. It's not a bad guitar, but it's no easier to play than my other acoustics. The sound is nice. The guy who does my setups said it was maybe worth the $500 I paid, but not any more. In short, it's by no means lousy, but it doesn't compare to the Taylors in the same price range (new) in sound or playability. My tech was actually much more impressed with the Alvarez AJ80CE I brought at the same time. And that's a cheaper priced guitar (again, new price vs new price).

I had played guitar ever since I was 12, and had pretty much stopped playing guitar. I've played all the brand names you've heard of and for playability the Zager ZAD80 CE I received is the best. It is a beautiful instrument of heirloom quality, very well made and I expect it to become my "go to" guitar. Thanks to Denny and son for helping make this possible.

I just received my ZAD80 and all I can say is WOW! Such a beautiful guitar, smooth and easy to play, and the sound is unmatched. You will not be getting this guitar back unless you pry it from my cold dead fingers! I currently have a Taylor 810 CE (2016) an Alvarez Yairi DY-45 (1976) and I have had several other high end guitars over the years. This guitar literally is in a class all by itself. Lincoln Nebraska? This guitar was made in HEAVEN! I appreciate the quality of this guitar and especially the quality of the team of people they have assembled. These guys are the best!

Just want to give a bit of feedback on my Zager 50th Anniversary 900 Series guitar that I purchased earlier this year. It is stunning! Absolutely beautiful. I have to tell myself that it is meant to be played and not just admired like a piece of fine art. I have owned Martin, Washburn, and Ovation acoustics over the years, and lately have been playing a Hummingbird. All great, and I have been pretty happy with the Hummingbird sound, but DAMN!... This Zager 900 is simply amazing! The tone and resonance of its body is like going from a five-piece band to a symphony orchestra. I am getting used to the neck and loving that too… as I have been playing a Les Paul and Strat (a bit narrower) but my aging, large fingers really love the wider spacing on the Zager. I am so flippin' happy that I took the leap of faith and purchased Zager and would recommend it to anyone looking for a fine instrument to add to their collection.
