The elevator on the first part of the video is not the same from the second part of the video. First elevator it’s a 2:1 double wrap set up and the second one it’s a 1:1. Also rope diameter and number of ropes it’s also different.

I doubt is this is the safest method. Also putting a nylon or polyester type synthetic lanyard down the crack of the elevator door opening without any means of protecting the webbing material using an abrasion resistant fabric as a buffer is very unsafe. This video lacks details regarding the fall protection equipment such as the yellow coloured lanyard making contact with sharp edges. Even if the material is single ply or double the lanyard is not cut resistant. They should redo this video.
