I just found a snowboard in a unit, could you tell me the chemicals you use, that were in the spray bottle?

Just window cleaner I think. Any spray and wipe type product will work. I used isopropyl alcohol for the stubborn stickiness.

My very first Mac was a MacBook Pro G4 with Tiger, since then I have bought many more older and newer machines, but that Tiger installer welcome screen was a lovely trip down memory lane

I remember the excitement when watching that welcome screen for the first time. It felt so special and so un-windows.

I saw a your notification from The Basement - "Sourdough bread..." and I thought you were going to fix a sourdough bread machine or something. A kid may see that as endless tissues from a tissue box, if you know what I mean...

great machine back in the day, my first computer that was just for me. got me thru the later part of uni, previously had a 68k Mac that was my Dads and for the family to use. mine is G3 upgraded, RAM maxed out and storage converted to CF card instead of slow hard drive, and it still works!

I found an easier way to remove chuck: I put a vicegrip on bottom of chuck and hitted down with a hammer a few times and came off within a couple minutes. Descubri una forma mucho mas facil y rapida de quitar el broquero: puse unas pinzas vicegrip en la parte de abajo del broquero y le pegue varias veces con un martillo hacia abajo y salio en menos de 2 minutos.

If it’s just password protected at the OS login screen, simply swap out the HDD or reinstall another OS onto the existing HDD.

You have the Mac Pro 3,1 which is really very slow. I am now using the dual Xeon 5690, 12 core Mac Pro 5,1 using 96 GB 1333 RAM, and an NVMe 2 x SSD on PCIe, dual boot, macOS and Windows 11 Pro. With OpenCore the dual boots work native on the machine. No Boot Camp and no emulator needed. I have Radeon RX 6800. With this I can play Red Dead Redemption 2 with all graphics on Ultra, and still get good frame rates. It will give good performance on pretty well all current games. For a 15 year old machine, that is pretty good.

Thanks for this clear and detailed video explanation! My Model M stopped working properly when I tipped a glass of wine over it 😖 so I'm going to have a go at cleaning it up when it's dried out. 🤞 I found a narrow 5.5mm socket on line at Amazon - BGS 10503 | Socket, Hexagon, deep | 6.3 mm (1/4") Drive | 5.5 mm - for GBP 2.84. No worries!
