Truly beautiful!! I would love to be involved with a project like that. I've owned 2 GTi 205's and have such a soft spot for them. Maybe if I'm ever lucky enough to win the lottery my dreams could come true too. In the meantime thanks for showing us your build, excellent work. 👍

I had a friend who rebuilt a couple of these, I neeed a front suspension, he took me to the farm there was 3-4 there that were in better condition than this one. What are they worth in same condition as yours ? Might be 3-4

Mass extermination of all patina . We now have an as new, ( or considerably better) classic Mercedes. Glad it was rescued, well done!

I am no expert by any means but this is an immense job with a similar result. That cage looks so strong like you can throw it out of a plain and it would hardly bend so to speak 😅
