interesting, they were still using a foot clutch instead of a clutch paddle. i wonder when all teams switched to clutch paddles

It's 1990 which was the first year they raced at the revised Interlagos. The Brazilian GP took place at Jacarepaguá in 1989. Ferrari were the first to introduce the paddle shift in 1989, Williams in 1991, McLaren in 1992 & then Benetteon & others began using paddle shift in 1993.
Real F1. Great memories: I was there with Camel Team Lotus.

Never realised how different the engine sounds from the start to end of 06. Sounds very much like 2005 but only recently found out it was the old exhaust

one of the most bizarre onboards i saw in my life, looks he has loose seatbelts
The eagle-eyed among us fans at the time will have noticed on the World Feed extra cameraman in places (the hairpin at Monaco, and inside the last right hand corner at Monaco) whose footage we *never* got to see. That confirmed my hunch as a teen that not just the teams, but other TV viewers had access to different/better footage. Martin Brundle is & always has been the best co-commentator that F1 has had with his inside knowledge, wit, humour, and passion for the sport. Including his cars from his career as well as driving so many more, he has driven more than *50 different* F1 cars, spanning all ages. My main point about Martin Brundle is that he gave away hints during races where the local broadcaster (who produced the World Feed) was missing things by saying “well we’ve just seen on a diamond screen opposite the pits that Jean Todt is walking down the pit lane to McLaren” or “we’ve seen that ‘x’ is happening”, “X driver is out of the race, we haven’t seen it on our pictures yet, but X has happened, hopefully the producer will pick that up soon.” The quest to find sites where people would upload F1 Digital footage began in 1997….on a 56k dial-up modem!! 😂

Really highlights how bumpy the track is! I was driving it in rFactor with the 2005 cars and was thinking "Surely it can't be this bumpy?" but there you go, in fact this makes the rFactor version seem a bit smoother 😅

This race saw Senna and Prost and Hill podium. It was Sennas very last victory and podium, it was also Prosts very last podium also.. So good to see them do it together in their final ever race, Prost retired, Senna crashed and Schumacher was world champion in 94.

Rare Sauber '93 on-board. Nice. Wendlinger would have been quite a force in 1990s F1 if not for his Monaco '94 crash.

It was a very visual envolvment from the driver at the time. Those guys were pushing like crazy you only need to see Thierry's steering input. However todays drivers with their supreme fitness and quality of the car construction just doesnt match up.
