You should somehow show your own music through your channel more (not just the band's name) so that more people have a chance to learn about such a brilliant and unique band. I found Kardashev in the wild and was amazed by the beauty. It took some time to realize that the band is connected to your channel, which I knew about before

Regarding Lalah Hathaway (the woman from the Snarky Puppy video they talked about), it’s SO breathy without causing immediate fatigue & irritation, plus the overtone is kinda rumbly and has more of a “pitch center” (almost in, like, a “shimmery” way?), I’m convinced her false folds are the star of that show. Maybe I’m nuts, but if she pushed it with a slightly different coordination it could sound a lot like the “But go, but go, but go!” from Chelsea Grin - Fathomless Maw (~ 38sec in).

47:41 the tone I think you are talking about is from Layla Hathaway. The singing is called “Polyphonic Singing” and some other people can do this kind of singing as well! The one that comes to mind for me is “Stitch Beatbox & Music” @stitch_mus1c , with his track “Feels Like Nothing” in which his audio is not edited at all! There is also an amazing video done by “David Larson” @davidlarson3905 , in which he dissects and explains polyphonic singing better than I ever could Thanks for reading this paragraph and good luck trying to understand this strange singing technique.

I am most definitely a bit biased. But just like you used Tati as an example for her lessons, please use Howard Jones as well. Let her go from Gospel singing to Screaming

6:45 You can say that. She has said that, she has mentioned Gwen Stefani as an influence, and you can clearly hear it in a lot of songs, including this one. She loves No Doubt

Brilliant musicians. I like Tatiana's gutteral singing and her Jazz type voice is really good. I love her vocals on 'King of Everything', she is clean for the whole song and has an Amy Winehouse tone to it.

I think a good way to start and get the feel of it is an angry sigh. Then once you feel where the sound actually happens, you can try barking like a dog.

David was extremely sick when he did this one which is even more astounding to me bc this is our favorite absolutely!!! And he actually hated this one 😮...but we absolutely love it extremely more! I like to say that the original was a warning, and David's is the Anger of the warning ignored!!❤ David was classically trained just in case you didn't know...ps, just found you and I'm so glad I did! I usually don't sub rt away but I had to, with love your newest sub ❤ I so wanna join in but I'm very sick rt now and my throat hurts so much 😢

Mark, show Verona Dan Vasc's metal version of Burn Butcher, Burn. It includes clean singing, soft and operatic, high power metal shrieks and growls. It will throw her for so many loops! Since Veronica has been playing with male style vocals, some Unleash the Archers may be in order. Britney's instrument is very feminine, but her style like a powder tenor!

Truly great analysis. Instant sub. I'm excited to see where you go with this! Tatiana is a unicorn. She can do so many different things with her voice. I'm a big fan of all the sounds the human voice is capable of. She brings a lot to the table. Whistle fry scream--sounds like you're talking about dUg Pinnick of King's X! That dude is insane! I've watched him do that, and it almost looks like he has air pockets in the sides of his neck. Or muscles there that flex. It's insane. He'll start with the fry and take it into whistle register. Very unusual for a man. He has a great instrument.

Never saw your channel before but the algorithm happened to bring it and was interesting since I never heard of death metal vocal coaching but since I'm almost 50 can say back 25 years ago could've used one and maybe not damaged my voice permanently. I personally think you aren't taking into consideration that his vocals are unique because he is imitating death metal American style vocals with his heavy New Zelander accent. 75% of death metal is still Americans and the UK, Europe and Australia makes up the rest. If you listen to the modern female Aussie vocalists of Volitile Ways, or Spains Escuela Grind, or female Scottish singer of cerebral bore or even the French Canadian old skool band despised icon these dynamic ranges of their vocals are hard to replicate simply based on their specific accents version of spoken english which is not your personal version of speaking American English. To me in all these years of concerts Alex the terrible, Adam Warren, and Trevor Strnad (RIP) are the top 3 most impressive sounding live to sound better then as recorded. Thanks for sharing your knowledge 🤟

We need her to listen to spiritbox because Courtney LaPlante actually has pitch in her screams with identifiable notes. It's pretty unique I was personally was confused what was going on for a while. It's like a sing/scream or pitch/scream.
