well, dayum. I'd completely forgotten about you, its probably been 10 years since we went to a few shows at Mighty Fine Guitars, like Jim Kimo West and Ken Emerson doing their Slackers in Paradise thing.... Just registered for the Meder Barn thing, will see y'all tomorrow! (and yes, you probably don't know me, I'm a long time Strawberrian but strictly a listener, not a player). I think I first saw you right before the Waybacks formed, you played at a informal event at the Espresso Garden Cafe in Campbell, along with dozens of others, must have been 25+ years ago.

Stevie. The back and sides are solid on all Nowland guitars. We spent years sourcing the wood and let it season for at least 10 years before using it. The Brazilian we used was from a stash that dated back to the mid 1980's.

isn't Brazilian rosewood a protected species and not to be harvested isn't it odd seems, every other new guitar is a Brazilian, every maker saying it's old reserve stock, saying it was harvested before the law was introduced.

Caught my eye with baritone all the way from FL. I was playing my Alvarez Baritone today. 27.75" scale. Not fancy and expensive like that one but pretty good import at its price, decent fit and finish and nice arm carve with decent electronics for under $1000. Looked at a Taylor 8 string baritone, kinda strange tp play. Odd pair arrangement even though I play 12's regularly, felt like playing on a broken string 12... but it was 3 times the price. But they are really fun to play, especially plugged in . Might have to try an electric baritone, I like the Eastwood electric models, they make quite a few baritones.
@firecrackerheart2 ай бұрын
lovely, borderline beneteau baritone .. . as always, your wit & your playing are wonderful!
@StevieCoyleMusic2 ай бұрын
“Borderline baritone,” indeed. Came in strung with ancient light gauge, and did a quick restring for standard. Certainly could be strung baritone, but I’m loving it in Vanilla.

Your inability is noted and your absence is appreciated. Or David Lindley? Or Joe Diffie? Or Trini Lopez? None of them died without sucking into their lungs somebody else's infected spew. www.billboard.com/photos/musicians-who-have-died-from-coronavirus/12-fred-the-godson-2020-billboard-1548-1587668068/

@StevieCoyleMusic I lost no one from 'covid' I was however prohibited from visiting my elderly parents who died alone, neither of them, or me, had 'covid' and 2 of my friends killed themselves during lockdown. My opinion is just as valid as yours.

@@coalville1234 The data is not on your side. Over a million Americans died from COVID (no cute quotation marks.) All of them died from - somewhere, somehow -inhaling other people's lung spew. But more fundamentally, what you fail to realize is that your opinion on masking is not welcome here, on a thread about music and musicians and musical instruments.
