Twol of the Greats .. NBA personified in exciting playmaking..Never met Larry up close,Magic Johnson I had the extreme pleasure of not only meeting him but conversercing with him. I've been a Boston Celtic fan since Bob Cousy and Bill Russell joined the Celtics..To this day I yet be..Kind of like the Denver Nuggets, being from the Mile High City I go along with Avalanche(hockey) ,Denver Broncos,Denver Rockies baseball team.Living not far from the city of Los Angeles..kind of rough..Yeah!!

I just live Magic. His personality is so likeable. Bird is more intense and shy buthe has a ton of character. In an interview Magic talked about the people who were really there for him after he got sick. He was crying when he talked about Larry being there for him.

I wish more could learn from this. A person could be your strongest competition and yet, you can still respect them. Love seeing them giving each others flowers.

Larry is truly the GOAT. Growing up I was never really a B Ball fan, but I followed Byrd. His work ethic and his excellence is second to none. He used to play and then when he’d come out of a game to take a break back pain made it impossible to sit on the bench, so he’d lay down In the corner of the gym until he went back in. Phenomenal.

As a Celtics fan, Larry Bird will always be the best. But even though I HATED the Los Angeles Lakers and feared Magic Johnson because of what he was capable of, I was soo happy when he kicked Aids ass! Two amazing rivals, but even better, two great friends.

when Magic got AIDS, i knew right away he would beat it. no way such a disease would even dare to try to claim him. such a good natured individual. both him and Bird.

I truly believe that the mutual respect and competition between these two men/friends did more for positive race relations than decades of politicians.

Two of the classiest players-friends of all time!! There will never be any bigger rivalry of mutual respect of one another's craft. I'm so blessed and thankful to be living in a time to witness these men play. What a beautiful time it was.

I remember this, HIV AIDS was a death sentence pretty much then, Magic had the top doctors and saved his life, but I am sure they learned from his money and treatments it is not a death sentence anymore. They used to call it a gay disease, turns out Magic just cheated on his wife. Now we have Corona virus changing our lives. And now Monkey pox which once again are blaming on gay people, which will be proven to not be true. We are just a world culture now and the world needs vaccines.

This is what real people are like. I’m sick of the race hustlers that literally live in areas where you only have white people. I grew up with white, black, Hispanic with a lot of each. I have several friends of every race that have keys to my house and watch the dogs. I wish people would stop believing the lies from politicians. Like how do y’all not see what the purpose of division is for? It only benefits the politicians. If everybody is on the same page then they are out of a job so they cause race wars and riots all in the name of mantaining there job as a professional piece of shii. Larry and magic represent exactly what I’ve seen my whole life with white and black people. Never once does race come up. We are humans period!

Karl Malone, a black, didn't support Magic, Larry Bird, a white boy, was there for him, damn race.
