If you want to expose the full blade, you can turn the blade in any direction and clamp it between the two pieces without hooking it to the screw in the middle. It should also hold the blade pretty good.

For the next ten years because you don't want to throw it away 😂

Actually it is very similar stuff as you would put it on the roof :)

I was done in 3 days, about 12 hours in total just to demolish it :)

Hey, sorry for answering so late... I assume you mean hole for the nut. I drilled just a normal round hole, a bit smaller than the diameter of the nut. When you screw the nut and the bolt together, the nut will dig in to the wood and the traction of the wood will prevent it from turning. Hope it helps :)

Yeah i think it would be stronger by not using an end grain piece. But the thing is, how strong do you need it to be? 🙂
