How effective is this for cats so they can't escape form yard?
@thomasharris51512 ай бұрын
Very effective! The first time I saw this was a guy using it to keep his cats in the backyard.

Nice work. We are building a cattle panel fence that is about 6 feet now instead of our 4 foot chainlink. I like this method, as it is much less expensive that the branded rollers!! Cheers!

Use electrical conduit PVC instead of plumbing PVC. The conduit is UV protected and cheaper.

Do you have a video showing the cat failing?
@y0nd3r2 жыл бұрын
Love this, but I have 10 8 foot fence panels in just the front yard I would have to equip. Probably twice that number in the back yard. I shouldn't have to spend all that money just so that cat owners can maintain their level of irresponsible pet owner.
@y0nd3r2 жыл бұрын
This is such a problem all over the United States. Somebody with money needs to sue their city and appeal all the way to the Supreme Court. Cats murder critters on our property and damage our fences with their claws and body weight. The rain gets in all those claw marks and further degrades the wood. It is so completely nuts that I am suspicious that evolution has somehow found a way through cat poop to get humans to protect them at all costs. Think about it. Kitty litter, cat poop, shitty paws on the food counter?

O got a dog that does this and just found out about this trick...im having 30 inches of wood added to my fencing...dumb idea now that i found this..

This is my personal opinion. .22LR is cheaper than this.

Never remove the tear gland or your dog will have a dry eye for life!!! You can see that in this case the gland was not removed, just tucked back and attached, and that's how this surgery should be done.

i myself would run the wire thru continually around the whole area instead of putting brackets side by side.

Interesting idea, i may try this. I wonder if it will allow for more or less tension on the cable, I think slack would be a problem for the pipes to roll well.
@youarehere12512 жыл бұрын
The other video, they use electrical conduit to replace the wire, no slack.

My 13 year old golden retriever has a quarter size limpomA by the rear knee. They are recommending surgery before it becomes too big... any thoughts? She has had 2 cancer surgeries before, one very difficult on her leg because of no skin
@Neartownvethoustonveterinarian3 жыл бұрын
Typically, because the knee is such a taught area with a lot of movement, removing a lump before it gets any larger is ideal. If this is a cancerous tumor, larger margins need to be made in order to remove all of the tissue. The smaller an incision and removal, the less skin involved in closing the area and overall less pain. However, without an examination, we cannot give you a definitive answer. Ultimately your veterinarian needs to guide you in the right direction to do what is best for your dog.

Creeper comment a year later: Look for the video where they used clear corrugated poly panels on top of the fence. The cat climbed up as far as it could and could not get a grip on the polycarbonate panel.
