Was that the mg325 tune up kit? The gasket was different. Why didn't you replace the two oil seals and front plate o-ring?

Appreciate the video, but would recommend using a plastic trim removal tool to avoid marring the dashboard. Also noting that it's possible to short out the aux cable insert sensor instead of buying a new one.

would like to see more on the trigger valve re-assembly. The trigger shaft has a hole near the end, does the valve pin end go into that hole?

Ordered the same part# and was not the correct lock as shown in the video! The correct part # is: 16104.

I have this same gun and it’s driving me to drink. It’ll work in reverse but not forward and I’ve rebuilt the entire thing. Back to the drawing board.

Did you notice if the rotor and metal wear plates were scored up from friction? That's probably the problem. You'll need to sand them smooth. Put the rotor in a drill chuck and use sand paper against something stiff like a putty knife. The drill is like a make shift lathe. The wear plates are tricky but a small angle grinder works. Use the sandpaper style attachment. If that's not it the bushing might be loose. If the bushing is loose then it's junk. They don't make housings anymore for the mg31.

@@outdoorsliving464 I fixed it. It seemed the housing was a hair too large. Had another gun (the same model) and it slid in perfectly. Milled the old one down a millimeter and viola. It worked like new.

Do you absolutely have to remove the 12V port first? Thanks for stating that it's not necessary to go through the glove box (which another video did and made it look like a hassle).

Yes, i believe it is because the 12v port holds the aux port in place. If you look closer, there's a little tab that extends to the other side.

@@yeehaw3098 right -- once I got started, I figured it out. Everything went smoothly, and the new aux port is working great with zero problem getting the 12V back in after replacing it.
