Thanks for putting this video out- it's a topic that I'm interested in and you put out some good ideas there. I do have one suggestion right up front- please consider writing a script, editing it a few times, and then reading it off. Maybe do a few takes, if necessary, or have some cuts. Most people need that, including people that are very experienced in front of a camera or behind a microphone. (Obviously). I do agree with the idea to expand Nations League and get better teams involved in the Gold Cup, and South America is one place to look in order to find two or three potential participants. For me personally though- I am of the opinion that CONCACAF Nations League should be opened up to permanent or semi-permanent long term participation by any country that decides it would be worth it to them. That should include small countries with bad teams, mostly because there are so many small countries with bad teams in this confed. I am of the opinion that we need to do something that benefits the small guys and not just focus on the big guys 100% of the time. What I have in mind is this. Initially focus on involving some national teams that are rather good. New Zealand, Israel, and a couple of South American national teams come to mind. If African nations like Ghana, Nigeria, or Cameroon see fit to participate and qualify for a Gold Cup spot (and hopefully a Copa America spot in the long term going forward) That would lead to all sorts of matchups that everyone would watch. I would take that all day, and there's certain countries that have a lot of people in the US that are eligible to play for them as dual nationals. I imagine there's quite a lot of countries that would be interested in getting their team in front of an American audience. After filling out the third tier of our Nations League, though, I'd love to see the creation of a fourth tier that mostly involves small countries that are less good. The rest of OFC, minus New Zealand who I assume is already in, could make up the initial bulk of a fourth tier. Among the other small nations that could join them are- Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, San Marino, Luxembourg, Monaco, Gibraltar and the Faroe Islands. You will often find that even with these Nations League setups, a team like San Marino is still able to get a result maybe once every three years. Some of these national teams never get close to smelling a promotion to the next tier up. I don't see any solution for them other than to gather up all the small-nation teams that are quite bad and put them in one competition together. As long as some of these teams are willing to make the trip on a regular basis- probably setting up at a shared MLS venue as their site for home games- they can finally play against a lot of teams that really are at their level. These are my ideas. The main one, though, is getting your presentation down on paper and then read from that. I obviously do think that the obvious benefits of this are obviously obvious. I will acknowledge that I'm no better than you are when I'm speaking off the cuff, but I will also say I'm aware of my bad habits so I take steps to try and take care of that.
