Hi, I should buy some rolls of transparent printable paper for engraving design, could you please direct me to where I can buy them? thanks

Another reason why registration might be out on some and not others, might be warped players, if they aren't metsl/aluminium. I've had that issue before and it drove me dilly. 😂

Hi. I have been watching your videos closely as I am just starting silkscreen printing. Pls could you advise which emulsion/inks would work best for; fine detail printing on self-adhesive vinyl stickers (white stock and clear stock) I am confused with all the types of emulsions/inks I have seen. Secondly I will also need to print enamels inks on (pinball) painted cabinets (only a few) - which emulsion would be best for this.? I don't yet have an exposure unit, buy I will buy whatever light would best suit the recommended emulsion (halogen, UV,) ... or sun. Thx in advance for some recommendations. Phil

Love your vids, super helpful and informative! Not sure if you've covered this somewhere before, but I'm wondering what equipment did you start on and how did you get to the shop you have now? How long did it take you to make it your full time job, or did it start that way? #printerscorner

I already have installed and start using CMYK for positive film. how can i change the new refilled black carterage? Can have any problem happened?
@squeegeeandink17 күн бұрын
Maybe stick to what you have? Or if you really want to, you can get refillable cartridges, put cleaning solution in them and do some power cleans to fill the lines with cleaning solution. Then! Fill them with black ink and again do some power cleans or if your printer allows - an initial fill cycle. 😅

Wau! What the skills! Thank you so much for your detailed work that you did with this video, its indescribably amazing! You inspire me a lot. Let me share my story, please ... I have been tending to art since I was a kid, but because of my traumas I decided to help people as a social worker. During my healing process, I realized that it is quite exhausting for me to solve the problems of others and I wanted to save others because I needed to save myself. Now Im trying to complete my master's degree in social pedagogy, but I already know that I want to make art and my dream is to work in a screen printing workroom. When I see you and your video I think that you are a model of a person from whom I would like to learn. I am very grateful to have found you on KZfaq and hope to meet you sometime. I wish you beautiful days and many success in creation!

Since you couldn't get the mesh you like, could you have DIY your own mesh. My understanding is that it's just 4 plastic strips sewed into the fabric. That said, is it possible to cut plastic strips yourself and super-glue it to the fabric?
@scotlandskysurf8948Ай бұрын
Do you use more print strokes for plastisol when using higher mesh screens? I definitely can’t clear the mesh in one pass on my 200 screens for instance. I usually do 2-3 strokes on a 157tt underbase on a black tee shirt. Are you mostly using lower mesh screens to achieve this? Thanks for all your helpful videos, keep up the great prints!

How do you coat your screens? 1 on shirt side then 1 on ink side?
@AitSlilmaneMohamed2 ай бұрын
Hello, yes we print a lot with 120T but not on shirts, we use 43T or 77T depending on the design, the 120T we use for glass, pens, paper and that kind of printing, we use solvent inks of course not plastisol, epoxy for metals and glass.

In your section about emulsion you have a white light on your exposure unit when lining up your screens. Is that ok or does it start exposing the screens? I just bought an LED exposure unit and it has a plain backlight and no safe light, so only use i see for it is post exposure to check for pinholes.

My film seems to stick to my dry emulsion when I'm burning it. Is there a way to stop that?
@squeegeeandink2 ай бұрын
Yes that indicated you have humidity in the room in excess of 50% - I use a de-humidifier
@jjuanguevara12 ай бұрын
@@squeegeeandink that's odd than, humidity is usually around 40% so now I'm at a loss
@scotlandskysurf8948Ай бұрын
I had this happen awhile ago to me. I don’t know if it was a combination but I had zero issues after doing the following: 1. Let that coated screen dry longer (I try to dry it overnight if U can) and really suck the moisture out with whatever you got (fan/dehumidifer) 2. I ensured the actual film positive was quite dry. If you’re still having issues with the film positive ink (it’ll most likely be the emulsion needing to dry better so try that first) you could try reversing the image before printing it out so that the ink is against the glass table rather than the screen. Hope that helps!

great point about the reg tape I've been running into this exact issue even with the extra trap or stroke, plus the thickness of the film is pretty deceiving which also will affect the end result.
