As far as I'm concerned, THIS was the final boss of Master Mode. The three after this (ESPECIALLY ZOEY) were laughably easy in comparison.

As a kid, I beat this game and had what you can call an emotional catharsis: "You can beat your nightmares." I used no tips just beat it, I love this game.

The one thing i’ll never understand about this calling card is how they got footage of themselves in the metaverse, when it’s been established since the 1st palace that cameras don’t work in the metaverse. The only thing I can think of is that maybe they were in Mementos, since we don’t know if cameras are useless in just palaces or Mementos as well

Before you start this fight, be sure you have the Night Pendant, Star Pendant or Sea Pendant equipped, as they protect you from PK Flash, making you immune to it, and trust me, you will need it as some enemies in this area, including Ness Nightmare can cast PK Flash (Glorious light has the effect of PK Flash) it can cast you some status like make you cry, make you numb, confused, and even make you a 1 hit KO. DO NOT equip the Earth Pendant, it does not make you completely immune to PK Flash!

how can 1 man be so genius. He gathers these random melodies and then in his mind he returns home to his memories to reach his subconscious and defeat the evil within.

This level felt very long and difficult when I played this as a kid. I remember that before I was completely familiar with this level, I accidentally missed that attic key, due my monitor being adjusted in such way that the key was hidden behind monitor frame. That's pretty old school mishap, couldn't probably happen with lcd screen. 😅

This game holds so much memories for me. I played Earthbound when I was 8, and finished it at 16 (my current age), on February 19th, 2024 (President's Day). Hearing the Eight Melodies one last time in the End Credits with the name "Smiles and Tears" is so beautiful. The fact that they showed all the pictures taken early on in the adventure makes completing the game so bittersweet as well. When I finished the game, and it showed the "The End" screen, I couldn't exit. I knew I had to turn off my Wii U or reset it completely, getting rid of my progress. So I turned off my TV and left my Wii U Gamepad on the The End screen for 2 hours. I couldn't just leave and destroy the progress of a game I worked so hard on for 8 years and built up so many nice memories over those 8 years. I turned off my Wii U completely though after those 2 hours. At least I had recorded me playing the game for memories.
