Sorry for the late reply. We use a custom modified GoPro with a sealed diving light. It does great for factory-built fireplaces and some masonry fireplaces. When I have a taller masonry, I sometimes need to lug out my Chim-Scan.

Hopefully you see this and get back to me, I was wondering how you take off that hood vent because I have the same one but they aren't just clips where you can easily fold out and release the cover if I'm correct there are two punched in not nails but I hope you understand what I'm saying anyways there are 2 on each side so do i have to forcefully detach two of them to open the vent hood and would it matter which side I choose to detach the two punched in screws Thank you

+TheMeddiee sorry I am just seeing this! I have heavy gloves on and I work the flap back and forth to weaken the connection. I then resecure with sheet metal screws when finished. You can also drill the rivets out with a 1/4" drill bit.

Advanced Chimney & Dryer Vent Cleaning don't worry thanks for the reply it's really going to help me out when I decide to attack the vent here in a few weeks, yea because I was just going to forcefully detach the thing cuz honestly I didn't see no other way to do it lol
