You all are trash for allowing that speech to take place. You owe the women in the graduating class a massive apology for bringing that sorry excuse of a human in to speak. This is not about opposing views. This was about the right time and place for expression of said views. A celebration for women's hard work was not the time nor the place. For one year, my team was attached to 1/4 Cavalry in Bosnia and Major McFarland was the XO. To surmise, I learned more about everything (seriously) from this group of officers. From leadership styles to combat situations, Major McFarland provide guidance and mentorship while reading a paperback standing over the potbelly stove in the TOC. Really glad to see he reached this level of success. He definitely earned it.
