As long as you're doing Zepp Tokyo version, there are so many more classics. The original 'Play!' and the original 'Don't You Tell ME'. LIVE etc... etc... Do 'em, do 'em all!

"What was that little look she gave?" That was the Kanami "Yes, mortals, I composed this monster of a song; listen in awe!" look. I still drink caffeinated beverages, I'll admit, but I think Band-Maid is more important to getting me going in the morning!

This song rates close to the top of every Maidiacs Band-Maid favorites list, including mine! I got to see them doing this in Phoenix in 2022 and it was so powerful live! Great hard and heavy song!

Strangely, this song went out of the setlist a few years ago, but during Covid when fans started requesting songs it was obvious to those the be that it was a big fans favourite and so came back into the live shows.

YES! So "Eyes Wide Open" was the 1st single off the FIRE album! "Vultures" is the 3rd single! So here's the other 3: The 2nd single was "We Are Shadows" which showcases singer Morgan Landers clean vocals w/ some harsh thrown in. The 4th single is probably the most radio friendly song on the album and even in their entire catalogue called "One Foot in the Grave" which is extremely catchy and has a very anthemic rock feel to it and showcases their diversity. Their 5th single is the title track song "Fire" which has a more haunting sound and look in the video! Keep in mind with this album released by Sumerian Records in June that it's the first album since 2011, they were on a 13 year hiatus!!! Kittie came BACK SWINGING!!! Before Jinjer and so many other females w/ harsh vocals in metal there was KITTIE who formed back in 1996 and made it HUGE in 1999 w/ their debut album "Spit" which had the huge hit "Brackish" and then 2 other hits "Charlotte" and "Paperdoll" (this album was more Nu Metal style but they dropped that sound w/ the 2nd album Oracle and went in a MUCH more heavy direction w/ more death metal screams and growling!) Hope you enjoy the Kittie rabbit hole!!!

Kittie was formed back in 1996 by singer Morgan Lander and her sister drummer Mercedes Lander (and a few other previous members). Their first album “Spit” was considered Nu Metal. They wrote those songs when they were teenagers and got popular in their late teens. Their first hit “Brackish” and its video got REALLY popular and they blew up on the metal scene, though they did have to deal w/ a lot of misogyny in a male dominated world of metal back then in 1999. They also released “Charlotte” and “Paperdoll” as hits. They were invited to co headline the 2nd stage at the Ozzfest Festival in 2000. With their 2nd album “Oracle” they abandoned the nu metal sound and went for a more heavier darker metal sound w/ death metal vocals. They released the song/video for “What I’ve Always Wanted” and for a Pink Floyd cover of “Run Like Hell”. They released 4 more albums, the 6th being released in 2011. Until the End (2003) w/ the single/video for “Into The Darkness”. Funeral For Yesterday (2007) w/ the single/video for the title track song. “Into the Black” (2009) w/ the singles/videos for “Cut Throat”, “Die my Darling” and “Sorrow I Know”. “I’ve Failed You” (2011) w/ the singles/videos for “We Are The Lamb” and “Empires part 2”. After the 2011 album release they went on a 13 year hiatus!!! They later released a documentary on the band’s history in 2017 called “Kittie Origins and Evolutions” (available to watch on youtube, Amazon Prime and Tubi) and later in 2019 “Kittie Live at London Music Hall” showcasing most of the previous band members and performing songs from the different eras and incarnations of Kittie’s music career (I uploaded it on my channel in 3 different parts w/ the 3 different eras; also available on Amazon Prime)!!! Kittie came back THIS YEAR w/ a brand new album called FIRE released by Sumerian Records!!! Morgan and Mercedes and guitarist Tara McLeod and bassist Ivy Jenkins came out SWINGING w/ this first song/video for “Eyes Wide Open” (groove metal w/ death metal vocals) then the 2nd single “We Are Shadows” (old school Kittie vibes showcasing Morgan’s beautiful clean vocals w/ some harsh vocals!). Their 3rd single was “Vultures” w/ the video featuring clips from their performance at the 2024 Sick New World Festival. The 4th single is the most commercial sounding and radio rock friendly song “One Foot in the Grave”, very anthemic and will more than likely be a huge hit in live shows and also gives the album some musical diversity. The 5th single/video was the title track song “FIRE” which has a more haunting and heavy sound!!! I’d definitely recommend checking out the ones you haven’t seen!!!

SO GLAD you reacted to Kittie one of my favorite bands (like Nightwish and Metallica, etc) Kittie is melodic groove metal w/ death metal vocals and some cleans! I see you just also posted "Vultures" so I'm gonna check that reaction out! I'll post some info on Kittie as well...

Great reaction. Some trivia😏 about this song and the album it's on in general is the the lead singer (Matt) injured his vocal cords on tour and was unable to scream, hence the lack of screams on this song and the album in general. I hope you react to their song Shogun next as it's generally considered their magnum opus.

This is their best song nothing else really comes close to melody wise. They arent that great it becomes annoying beyond this album. It was a scene and they filled a need. They arent a bad band but hill billy ish to me. Nothing else makes me go yep listen to it again from them.

I advice you, if applicable, to always take the live version of every Warning song. Especially QmQ is live even better than the studio version. Saw them already three times this year and this song really rocked the house down. The list below is to support you in your choices. As one wise man put it: DPA don't write bad songs, so take your pick. Subbeds by the way.
