Votings will never be the accurate basis for popularity. A lot of fandom from popular groups aren't really a strong voters. Please use common sense at least once.

How were you able to get this info? Unlike Philippines, other countries use their own native languages and rarely use English. You won't be able to check worldwide unless you can check in their native languages. Even if you check in other native languages, I don't think there are official spellings for all members in other languages. For example, when I check Japanese, there are some discrepancies in spellings. Also, there are too many different ways of checking popularities and each method will show a different member is the most popular. None of the methods are perfect by themselves and without info from F&F, I find it impossible to get an accurate overall ranking. Below is what I'm seeing based on Korean, Japanese, and English search data, contents, and comments. All the search results are for the past 12 months. When I check Naver Datalab (popular Korean search engine) in Korean, it goes Lim Seowon >>>>>> Jin Hyeonju >> UNIS Nana > UNIS Elisia and UNIS Oh Yoona > UNIS Kotoko > Bang Yunha and Gehlee Dangca. Nana, Elisia (only the first name is officially translated into Korean), Oh Yoona, and Kotoko are names shared by others so it's not 100% accurate, meaning their popularity is most likely a little higher than what is shown. In this search, Seowon is more popular in Korea than all the other members combined. When checking various contents and comments in Korean, I can't make a proper ranking without dedicating hours, but Seowon is definitely the most popular by far. Elisia, Kotoko, and Yoona may be the next popular (I'm not sure about the order), but these 3 combined may not match Seowon's popularity in Korea. Overall, Seowon is the most popular in Korea, but it's hard to get a definitive ranking for the remaining members. I can't check Japan's data since I can't type Japanese. I can read Japanese though, and when checking various contents and comments in Japanese, Kotoko, Nana, then Seowon may be the top 3. Again, without spending hours, it's hard to make a proper ranking. Someone who is fluent in Japanese will need to check actual data. Also, based on what I checked (Google Trends in English), Gehlee is the most popular in Philippines, not Elisia. Gehlee is almost more popular in Philippines than all the other members combined. When checking various contents and comments that I was able to confirm were by Filipinos, it also seems that Gehlee is more popular than Elisia. Overall, it seems like Gehlee, Elisia, then Seowon are the top 3 in Philippines. I can't make a ranking for the remaining members. I also checked other countries (excluding Korea, Japan, and Philippines) with high K-pop popularity; Indonesia, United States, Thailand, Brazil, India, and Malaysia. Outside Korea, Japan, and Philippines, it is very difficult to check regional data. Searches were done in English using first name only and using full name (so for example, Seowon, Lim Seowon, Gehlee, Gehlee Dangca, etc.). Aside from US, there's limited info since majority of other countries don't primarily use English, but when doing various checks in Google Trends in English, Seowon seems to be the most popular in other countries. This excludes Nana and Kotoko whose last names were not shown and are difficult to check since they share names with others. Yoona and Elisia can only be compared using full names since their first names are also shared with others and a lot of the results were not about Oh Yoona or Elisia Parmisano. Some searches for Seowon (using only first name) were for others, but when comparing search trends during UT, majority of the searches for Seowon appeared to be about Lim Seowon. The only way to get a clearer picture is for somebody from above countries to check regional data with their native languages and post the results here, though, again, I'm not sure how the names would be spelled in different languages since there are no official spellings for other countries. When combining all countries, Gehlee is the most popular. I take back what I said earlier about it being unlikely that Seowon is 2nd. Back when 79% of UNIS fans were Filipinos, it was Elisia. However, with UNIS gaining momentum in other countries and how popular Seowon is, she could be 2nd now. Since different methods tell me different member is more popular, I can’t say for certain who is 2nd right now. I also can't make a ranking list for the remaining members. According to F&F interview, 60% of UNIS fans are Filipinos right now (down from 79% since UT/UNIS debut). They gave no breakdown of the remaining 40%, so I don't know how many fans exactly are from Korea, Japan, and other countries. When reading comments, at least, only a tiny fraction are in Korean and Japanese. Only UNIS has full regional metrics, but based on public regional metrics that I could check... Seowon is the most popular in Korea. Gehlee is the most popular in Philippines. Kotoko may be the most popular in Japan, but this is not based on metrics since I can't research metrics in Japanese. Seowon may be the most popular in other countries, but this is based on very limited regional metrics checked in English. When combining all countries, Gehlee is the most popular.

Seowon is only popular in East Asia. You can't consider her being the most popular UNIS member because K-pop fans outside East Asia avoid stanning someone her age. And this is how Gehlee solo stans are created. Also, the data that you collected may create some mixed information because Seowon is not a unique name in the industry. You should consider using her full name when searching for data. So here’s the breakdown: Based on hashtags analytics, Lim Seowon has 318.5k reach for the past 7 days. From the top 3 languages; English (62.5%), Korean (25%), and Japanese (12.5%). Only 3 languages made it to her analytics which debunked your claim about her being the most popular in other countries. This is based on ‘Site’ which was collected from Google, Yahoo, and all available search engines including Korean search engines (50%), Twitter (25%), and Tiktok (25%). For Gehlee, mixed data is unlikely due to its uniqueness. Gehlee garnered 1.8M reach for the past 7 days from Instagram, Tiktok, and Twitter. English (37.11 %), Korean (22.16%), Arabic (11.86%), German (11.86%), Others (17.01%). Gehlee having More than 5 countries already proved that she’s indeed more popular than Seowon.

For example, the viral Olympian from South Korea Kim Yejin can beat Taylor Swift from Google Trend because she became a hot topic overtime, but does that make her more popular than Taylor Swift? Obviously not. That's why measuring longevity is more accurate. Also, Seowon's social media engagement doesn't align with the original commenter's claims that it's almost impossible to believe. Seowon being more popular in Thailand, Indonesia, India, Malaysia, Brasil, and United States compare to Gehlee doesn't make sense. As we can see, those countries that the original commenter mentioned are one of the biggest social media users but why is Seowon's Tiktok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter could barely reach 100k engagement from UNIS official accounts while her videos from stan accounts rarely reach 50-100k? Does that mean those people from countries that was mentioned by the original commenter lives under the rock? 😅 It's so frustrating how people kept denying and trying to erase Gehlee's popularity by using the 'only popular in PH' card, when her social media engagement speaks volume. No UNIS member can easily accumulate the numbers Gehlee's been pulling since her UT days. This is not a brag nor being 'overproud,' but rather stating facts. They're not being fair with their statistics SMH.

Thanks for additional info chopsticks. I'm not saying Seowon is the most popular UNIS member (sorry if my constant editing caused confusion, but this is a long post and I wanted to provide as much info as possible so I constantly posted a portion, continued research, updated, and repeated); I'm trying to give some additional info and regional metrics because I'm curious about accurate UNIS data. As I said, only UNIS has the full info. All any of us can do is search based on limited data that we have, which is why I specifically say that my info is "limited." None of the info we have are perfect by themselves and different data and contents will show that different members are popular, which is why I mentioned not just search results, but comments and contents as well. Also, different data will have different errors that make it difficult to judge the accuracy based on that info alone. If you only checked "Gehlee" and not "Gehlee Dangca," I believe the info you provided also has errors. One of the reasons is due to spelling issues in other languages. Gehlee's name is not as unique as you think. Gehlee, when translated into Korean, is spelled exactly the same as the treat jelly. They're both spelled 젤리. While I'm not 100% certain, I believe this is the case with Japan, too, and probably several other languages. This means that if you only search for "Gehlee" and not "Gehlee Dangca," and combine the results from all countries into one pot, you're probably going to get a lot of results from other countries about the treat jelly, dating back years. While Seowon's name is also not unique, when comparing search trends through the years, it is obvious that the majority of searches for Seowon in English are for Lim Seowon (and Seowon has been active in Korea for years). Another issue is that different countries do things differently. For example, Koreans almost always search people using their full names. When Koreans search for Seowon, they'll search 임서원 (Lim Seowon). When Koreans search for Gehlee, they'll search 젤리당카 (Gehlee Dangca). Almost nobody in Korea will search for people using just first names. The only exception is for members whose full names are never officially translated into Korean (Nana, Kotoko, and Elisia only display first/stage names in Korean). By contrast, when checking in English, more people searched for "Seowon" than "Lim Seowon" (again, majority of searches for Seowon are clearly for Lim Seowon). Also, different countries use different types of media. What is popular in one country may be basically unknown in another country. I can read Japanese, but I cannot tell you which types of media, which social media sites, etc. are regularly used by Japanese. I have no idea how the hashtag search will combine popular media in each and every country into one pot. AFAIK, it's just not possible. China, for example, has the "great firewall of China" that blocks a lot of foreign traffic to and from China. Other countries also have various restrictions and censors that I'm not familiar with. Due to many differences in countries, you can't just use one method in one language and think it represents all countries combined. You have to search each country separately, while filtering out any errors that may apply to that specific country. This is why you need people who are fluent in specific languages to check things more accurately. While I'm not certain about the method you used, if you're able to check the full name "Gehlee Dangca" and are able to filter out all results for just "Gehlee," you'll probably see a lot less results from non-English languages. And, again, one global search will not accurately combine info from all countries due to issues I mentioned above. Since UNIS isn't likely to release detailed info, the only thing we can do is for people with proficiencies in different languages to check several different methods and combine all the info for a clearer picture.
