Well deserved award to one of the greatest players ever. A gentleman who was a class act on and off the pitch through highs and lows. Surrounded by friends and family, always a role model for this or any other generation.

Truly well deserved. My footballing hero as a kid and respect for what he achieved as a Manager too. The respect paid after the Hillsborough tragedy speaks volumes for the man. The term Legend is bandied around too easily but this man deserves to be called one.👏

That was the weirdest moments for him first to lose at Anfield with The Rovers and they were still champions. Then that famous 4-3 from his Newcastle at Anfield again. But the nicest one was as manager and player won the double with Liverpool in 1986.

Scored the winning goal in a European Cup Final in 1978. Most players would rest a career on that, but he did so much more. Probably the best ever player to come out of Scotland.

Accepted a Knighthood yet professing "Socialism". Accepted some award from the Beeb which is the mouthpiece of a corrupt government; Tory or otherwise. Has a daughter that works for Murdoch and we know HIS track record. That's ok with the "socialist" scousers though when it serves their self interests you see. They're capitalist every other day! Yet mention ex players going to Saudi or the world cup in Qatar and this mob start foaming at the mouth.... Yes F.. You all at RAWK too!
