The first time I ever heard this song it was in the Lenten series and I was blown away by it. And Sloveig, graciously, provided the lyrics, also. So I wrote them down and memorized them. Then listened and sang along over and over. Soon as I walked through the woods I could hear the correct notes. Sometimes I would have to use my hands to show how high up or low the notes should be. Like a conductor. LOL I am so grateful to you. And to the Lord.

@@SolveigLeithaug thank you so much! I was actually hoping to find it on here to share on my new social media, too. I left Facebook. I didn't approve of their biased censorship. I am on GAB and MeWe now. They aren't as big as Facebook yet. Let's say they are "up and coming." I shared your link to "Softly and Tenderly" yesterday in a "Farmhouse Living" group on MeWe and it already has more than 20 Ikes. I just love your preciousness, the silky baritone(?) you can hit just send waves through me. There is one low note you hit in the 2nd syllable of "Sparrow" that I would sit with joyful anticipation to hear, over and over and over, and the accompaniment of that extraordinary violinist, that video is just one of the best things I have ever seen. ..including your tearful last few words sung. If I knew how to insert hands applauding here, I would. :) also, when you sing the line "when hope within me dies" in the Lenten series "Sparrow", your voice trails off with a slightly shaky weakness, expressing the thought so poetically. I know I sound like a groupie. But there are some things that are just really good. Your other favorite of mine is "Why Me Lord" THAT VOICE! Even Justin Loose seems bowled over by it. If you can find that "Sparrow" video on Facebook, you should make a copy of it. It was one of those special moments, in my opinion, for what its worth. lol. thank you again. you are really kind to provide these. God bless you and yours!

Hey... I don't know if this is a bad taste question or not, but what ever happened to brother Ken Henderson ???? I knew him for many years along with his brother Bill. Ken assisted brother Alan Pearson at my first Ordination. He and Solveig ministered at one of my Churches in Henderson Texas and over the years I lost contact with them,I'm sorry to say.
