Friend drove to Bradford and saw signs for a clean air zone so he turned around and took another route to avoid the zone, he has since received a Penalty Charge Notice for entering a clean air zone. The photo of his vehicle is not within the clean air zone which starts at the signs he saw, he turned around without entering the zone. The letter states 'The vehicle was detected & recorded inside the Clean Air Zone' but the photo is not within the zone. Wonder how many have been caught out by not entering a Clean Air Zone, he is appealing the Penalty Charge Notice. The camera was above the signs but pointing out of the Clean Air Zone

There have been many multi million pound enquiries over the years on many subjects from the Marchioness tragedy to the Post office scandal and yes there is some catharsis and healing for victims and families but for the most part they are just an expensive way for the government of the day to let those involved 'air their views' have their day in court and then forget about it - Does anyone believe the ex ceo of the post office or the board members will get prosecuted or end up in jail? If you thought no - then you see what I mean about enquiries - Actions without consequences because you are a politician or work on the board of a company are NOT punished in this country and based on my experience never will be - If they did Tony Blair would be in a cell in the Hague and the CEO of a cladding company would be serving 20 years at his majesties pleasure - But that is a dream and this is reality - effective justice for all equally considered and applied in a just and fair manner is not something that happens in the UK or to be fair any westerised country - If you can afford good lawyers you get away with it.

sentencing is ridiculously low for all serious crimes.. these guys can make millions in cash really quickly then get caught and get between 2 years for most dealers to 10ish for MAIN suppliers but they will be out in half that and they can get good contacts in prison too (and they have the cash hidden away for when they get out) need to go to things like 30 year minimum sentence for big dealers and 10 years minimum for street dealers and with violent crime planned murder should be LIFE With no parole, no exceptions, and also 30 years for ATTEMPTED Murder and 10 years minimum for carrying a zombie knife or sword or firearm be more of a deterrent Rape should be a LIFE Sentence with NO release too as it affects the victim for all of their lives you guys are too soft on the violent and sordid offenders also stop letting so many fighting age men in.. they are NOT Refugees if they leave their family in the "war zones"
