I 've had to prime the same tractor once before when I ran it out of diesel and after a lot of time and perhaps some tears I got it, and swore I'd never let that happen again and haven't! He changed out the fuel filter due to it being old and cracked and was leaking and has been trying to get it started for over an hour. I could not remember for sure how to prime it, but as soon as I watched you get it started it all came back to me. I walked out there, grabbed the screw driver opened it up and pumped it a few times. Closed it, pumped it about 15 times and tried to start it. Pumped it a couple times while cranking it and it started right up. I thought he was gonna fall over! It was AWESOME! Thanks for making this video and for making me a bad ass! LOL...I'm sure all his failed attempts helped but I'm not telling him.

I usually break the injector lines to see that the diesel has made it there and let the air out of the line. But this seemed to work out without all that

Maybe some note, the direction when you lose the pin between left and right is different. One is like your video, and the other is the opposite face. To see the details, the pin face is like "u" and others are flat. Knock the flat face to open it

Main board, something…. Resister, pot is overheating and shutting down. Damaged. It starts whilst cold, warms up and can’t cope… then shut down due to heat. Replace the main board 👍🏽

Have this error code 6 problem and have replaced the sensor several times and still comes on.... plug wires are good now where do i look???? The sensor is good . is there more than one sensor on this ssystem?

Try disconnecting the battery whilst you change out the sensor. This may reset the board and when you connect the sensor … power back up and it should read it as a new sensor. Did you buy a new sensor or is it an old one that you believe is good?🤔

Yes I did, maybe you could go to a scrap yard and see if you can pick one up… or go to a auto parts , buy the full part then take it back minus the spring, saying it’s not the part you needed..😂👍🏽

6 screws on the box for anyone wondering. Tend to rust. Good to pick out the screw driver bit slot of any rust and make sure the driver fits in there and doesn't strip the head. Make sure you don't lose your air filter box gasket either!

Thank you for explaining it so good, I just did an oil change yesterday on my ski and filled it up to the full line, and after being on the water for about 45 minutes it started spitting oil out of the breather hose

Oh no😮 Use a flexible tube and suck the excess out. It will send oil into the air filter box front of the engine. You may have to clean that out😬 Best of luck 🤞🏽 👍🏽👍🏽

Bro thank you so much for this video, I have two 11th gen 4.6s and they both had had this problem cutting out at low speed turns and shaking very hard at idle. Thank you for explaining the why and how of the problem and helping me understand what’s actually causing it. Cheers🔥

I understand it’s 4 years old, but it’s the same concept… hot water softens any plastic. This then allows you to manipulate it…. Ie pri the lid off 👍🏽

@@wolfeman1966your video is 4 years old too so the product may have changed. Other postings also said it can't be done unless you use a knife to pry off the cap which chips the glass or heat your oven to 250°F and place the grinder in the oven for 10 minutes then pry off the plastic lid.

looks to me like they were accidentally put on upside down and the highlift portion of the blade was doing the cutting

I just think it was the type of grass I was cutting.the back field would get up to 3’ at times and I would need to slowly cut through it. I did however change where I bought the blades and have not seen this happen again. Thanks for your comment 👍🏽

2023 Update Despite being a Big De Walt customer they were totally disinterested in sorting this problem out ! Put me through to an agent in Reading who said BUY A NEW ONE ! Great customer service i don't think !

Great video. I have the exact same pump with the exact same problem. I found your video after I fixed it. BUT, it did show me that I didn't have to completely remove the carb. My problem and question that I was researching when I found your video is now that it runs, it bogs down greatly when water pump comes on. I've treated pump with Stabil pump protectant. Also, my motor now runs now at breakneck super sonic RPM's just to keep up. Speeds way above norm.

If your question is why is it running super sonic..!?? That could be that you have lost something to govern it down like the fine nozzle that goes inside the threaded valve area at the bottom or the hand held gun?!!

I believe it should be the same way. If it’s got little divots around the back plate. Then it’s a twist off.🤞🏽 Hope that helps 👍🏽👍🏽

Amazing video, this was exactly what I needed! My D140 wouldn’t start after stopping. I cleaned the switch electrodes in the plug as your video suggested and the tractor started immediately! Wow that just saved me a drive to the shop and $$$. Much, much, much thanks!

There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

I have a john deere 190 c and the whole clutch assembly is spinning. It’s the same mower as this one isn’t getting power so i had to bypass the ignition got it started and it’s running fine but it started a wobble and i looked underneath and the whole clutch is spinning it tore the wiring that runs to the clutch. The deck is currently off. Can anyone help me out as to why the clutch is spinning? Thank you

You haven’t put the latch or brace back onto the clutch. What my video and you will see a little thin metal brace that slots into a rubber slot. Hope that helps. Sorry it’s taken me some days to get back to you . I’m on my vacation 👍🏽

Thank you, i finally figured that out recently. I’m new to this small engine stuff but i’ve taking a liking to it. Thankfully the wiring harness was the only thing that needed replaced and the wiring inside the clutch wasn’t damaged. It runs good now. Thanks for the info

I have a John Deere F525 it rolls over it rolls over it rolls over but I have no spark and no one shows me where the safety switches are I'm going to try your video and see if my F525 will spark but I miss my baby deer and I would love to get some spark out of it thank you

Clean or replace your spark plug, clean your carburetor, filter etc Follow cables to see if the have a terminal that could get dirty or damaged, unplug and clean then replace. Check to make sure every terminal has a good connection. Micro switches need cleaning too. Sorry it’s all maintenance 😬👍🏽
