That is an astounding picture. The colors and detail are incredible. Every detail extremely sharp. Yet a view of the landscape has the resolution of a 1998 blackberry.

@@MrElephant47 Funny you should ask!😁Found a YT Channel called Mars Anomalies and Beyond and took his advice and went to nasa , jpl , and many other space programs that sent images back. Then using my IPad photo editor I’ve found many things that are not supposed to be up there. I do not own a tinfoil hat, but a lot of effort has gone into obscuring blatant machinery and structures. I’m only an enthusiast, even so, I know anyone familiar with photoshop can download images from a space programs web sites run by the project managers and find something odd. Lots of smearing and blurring. I don’t know who that stuff belonged to but they were busy, busy bees. I always approach the images with pareidolia in mind. And am wrong a lot . But I kid you not some images remind me of flying into Rio de Janeiro. Wish they would release the original un doctored images, especially images taken from the Apollo 11 mission from the orbiting return craft by Micheal Collins. One thing that’s always bothered me is that 80s satellites could take pictures of cars and figure out make and model, but the mars rover has a potato cam for panorama shots. If I can find stuff up there anyone can.

NASA's Perseverance Mars rover captured this portrait of its recently completed sample depot using its Mastcam-Z camera on Jan. 31, 2023, the 693rd Martian day, or sol, of the mission. This panorama is made up of 368 individual images that were stitched together after being sent back to Earth." In general, as I understand it, they collected samples in pairs, took one copy with them, sealed the second in tubes and left it on the ground to be picked up (maybe even by a new rover, if possible) if something happened to the first. The holes in a row are traces of sampling by the rover; I have already seen something like this in a row in other frames. There, in full frame, there are generally 10 tubes with samples lying around - they would obviously be classified as artifacts of an extraterrestrial civilization) The stitching of frames is also understandable - it's a mosaic. And the fact that Mars is not red means that it is not red in a telescope, it is the usual red-desert color, a question of white balance and other shooting settings.
