RMs IQ os 148. I never look for simple meanings. My theory If you did know RMs work every mix tape and album is different from the last. His first self titled mix tape is a slap back at his friends from his under ground rap days who called RM and Suga girls for wearing makeup. He used it to demonstrate why he was a better rapper than any of them, and to lay down his truth. In it isJOKE and DO YOU( the song that says clearly he refuses to be labelled or boxed into any genre). He is continuously pushing boundaries. In a way thats what is also happening in the mv. RM wanders around confused and unhappy through all these potential different lives and expectations never being comfortable. We see this has been so since he was small. At some point he becomes more comfortable in each scenario after being united with his other half/ self, and he can be more comfortable with others. But he still doesnt stay, he moves on finds himself and accompanies the woman( other half Jung or Plato?) out of the maze of societies expectations to find non of it's real. In the light he sees its all fake sets designed and created by someone else. However with RM there is always light at the end. Hope of better futures now he can see what life is about, he is free of those boxes. There are several clues for ARMY buried within the MV. Pain Devine. During a conversation piece with Pharrell Williams they discussed judging lyrics by how painful they are to produce ...pain divine, devine inspiration?

Yes, the guy is DPR Ian! You could check out some of his stuff If you haven't already. He's a korean-australian singer, songwriter, producer, chief director/editor from DPR (his company). He's also narrating, produced the little song at the intro, directed, edited and colored this MV. He makes all of the videos for DPR and they are amazing because of his talent even with him being basically an independent artist. DPR is actually a smaller to medium company, more like an artist collective or crew, founded by a few friends including him that slowly built their name on the market. If you want to know more about his directing/editing style and music his most recent solo MVs are Peanut Butter & Tears, Don't Go Insane, So I Danced and Limbo. I highly recommend the Miito Movie (Seraph + 1Shot + Mood + Ribbon) though since it's a medley of 4 songs around 7 minutes. His music covers a lot of genres. Funny enough, even with him now being a singer, he was the main rapper of his Kpop group (C-Clown). He said his idol days were like hell because of the abuse and humiliation he had to go through plus how creatively deprived he was (I mean it's not your song, dance, video, anything). He doesn't regret it though since it's what made him greedy to pursue his vision once he was free besides the people that he met. The group disbanded in 2015 then he went on to shoot music videos for other artists (like for YG entertainment, Blackpink's company) so he could save money and invest into making DPR what it is now. For many years he was just behind the cameras, shooting videos for DPR's first artist, his best friend, who is now DPR Live (yes, they all have DPR before their names...) It was only 2020 that Ian released his first MV as a solo artist. He's very vocal about mental health and a lot of his lyrics and concepts are about his struggles with bipolar disorder and DID (Dissociative Identity Disorder) even if he turns it around and most of them are fun takes. He created a whole cinematic universe around it and is such a storyteller as you can see from this MV. His songs and MVs stand out on their own though even if you don't know the backstory. I'm very proud of all the praise for the MV he's receiving and he has come a long way from a doomed Kpop group (poor C-Clown...) to a self made and self sufficient artist (working with - the - IU, Korea's sweetheart) in the 12 years he has been in the industry. He's so multitalented (can even play bass, keyboard and the drums plus he dances). Genuine guy also and really deserves the recognition. The man can do anything. I'm glad that IU trusted his work. If you want of course react to him It'd be great.
