This randomly was recommended to me, it's unfortunate that ranked is now unplayable with all the stupid gimmicks ubisoft keeps putting into the game that literally nobody is asking for. It was a fun last few seasons but competitive is unplayable now unless you own an analog keyboard and have all the macros set up perfectly for each gimmick car/track combo in the campaign.

What about on full speed maps? Do you still tap the brake to keep the drift going? If so ill be surprised just because brakes and full speed dont sound like they go together in the same sentence 🤣 Wondering how many of these perfect drifts held for long durations im seeing are via action keys....otherwise it seems so difficult to regularly reproduce on controller (im on console) Trying to learn. Game is so friggin fun when youre firing on all cylinders!!!

I am kinda running into a problem here, my antivirus is saying that openplanet is a virus and it blocked the installation. I don't want to infect my computer cause this is the only computer that can run Trackmania. Is it safe to download? And good tutorial btw!

they changed the packs for trackmania 2020 now there is only the club pack but i think its cheaper

Disagree with this move The most successful F2P models don't do this, they utilize cosmetics; I'd rather they have a battlepass w/ a bunch of skins, than pay-wall base-gamd content. Personally, i'm not gonna give money to a F2P game that rewards spending money with gameplay benefits

I was just curious, because I have a i7-9700K and an RTX4070TI, and I get capped around 100 FPS... Yes I have almost everything maxed, but even if I change some of it, nothing changes... I don't want to get a crappy looking game, and I don't think my PC is low end, but I still don't f*cking understand how the hell could I get more FPS? My monitors can handle up to 165FPS so what is up whit this shitty game?

Personally i’m okay with it and if it’s better for the longevity of the game then so be it. Trackmania is already an extremely affordable game considering there’s an endless amount of content you can play. $20 per year is less than 2 dollars per month, it will still be extremely affordable and if you’re like me once you play the free version then the game is so good you’re going to want more and be happy to pay for it, even before the update

imagine if they sold different cars or other cosmetics as MTX in this game like Forza or Rocket League. it would solve their financial situation and add a dynamic part of the community at the same time. im all for playing for free but there is a dedicated trackmania community and I would definitely pay for a cool new car. Cosmetics are harmless compared to a subscription service

Quick question, will I still be able to play full campaign on ps5 as a pc club access member? I understand i need to pay club access again and ps plus if I want to join servers on ps5, but what abaut solo? I enjoy hunting on console while chilling on the sofa, id would be shit if I cant even hunt the later tracks as a paying member.

I do not have the time to play Trackmania a lot. Yearly subscription is just trash. I'll never do it, because it pressures me into playing and it's just no fun. I would rather buy 70€ lifetimes access than paying 20€ a year. All Trackmania games could be acquired with a one-time transaction. Since they changed that I stopped playing it, because it has never been my main game. And the free version is basically just a demo. You can only play campaign tracks and not even build your own ones due to the limited possibilities in the map editor.

Come on man. You're really going to sit there and take it while Nadeo uses scummy choke points to make a little extra cash. Are the constant refusals to listen to the community and fix matchmaking, the TMGL screwups, Ice changes, and not paying creators for the 99.9% of tracks people play on not enough to make you think maybe they're a crappy company? Accepting this awful treatment from companies is how we keep on getting crummy publishers, fremium models, microtransactions, subscriptions over one time purchase and just an ever swirling downward industry. You're getting ripped off and don't even have the self-respect to call them on it. The biggest travesty of all this is that TM2020 could have been a prime esport if the people who made the game had any real care about making a quality product, and not a cash cow for Hylis and Ubisoft.

I will always pay for club access because you never know when you want to play a specific track or event. I’m still working my way through the campaign too so I’m a beginner really but I’m really enjoying what’s available for the price. Everyone is different though.

I just have a quick question: So I am playing the free version since the game came out as I don’t have much time and the campaign + ranked is well enough during one season. So suddenly paying 20€ for the same is a lot. Now if I buy the standard version for 10€ a day before the update I still get access to all the standard content for another year? Thanks in advance! By the way, I really appreciate Nadeo for making such huge part of the game f2p and without microtransactions until now, there is no other game like that.

Biggest wall in the way of new players is the terrible ubisoft connect client and multiplayer services. If they went to steam they would instantly make a huge amount of customers. I know it's already on steam but it just forces ubisoft connect open, which I thought was super cringe. F ubisoft.

Reduced Campaign is bad. Merging the pricing is INSANELY good. On a side note I actually don't completely hate the idea of MTXs if it helps the game even more. I grew with them and learned to appreciate them for their win/win/win nature. Supporters benefit with fancy skins to display. Free players benefit with having access to all gameplay content paid by the supporters. The devs benefit. League of Legends is the main example. They made so much money they comfortably moved into making other games, cinemtatics even a show! I don't dislike the sub system but I am not against an MTX system taking its place either. Trackmania 2020 is special, not only it has the majority of the community support but also has the devs support. Near infinite maps can be created from the community but what happens if the developers ALSO keep adding new tools, blocks, and systems?

10:30 , i find it very cool that nadeo is somewhat involved in community tourneys, i think events like xpevo also had some nadeo involvement. Talking about the developed features for community, i feel like the event tab could get a refresh, many smaller tourneys could benefit from this. It is there, but theres little to no info on how to use it.
