I think overall, the technological superiority theory is bs, with one major exeption, European naval technology and navigation techniques. This gave them exponentially stronger logistical and power projection capabilities, while the inca and aztecs were only able to draw resources, support, and attack European forces within a very limited range, Europeans could draw support from their unattackable metropols, Africa or any colony of theirs in America.
