False: Zoey: Were you a little scared about, about, um going to the moon or coming home again [prompt from man holding camera] 'cause nobody has been there before? Aldrin: Well people had gone up and down without staying in orbit, people, dogs, and monkeys. People, Russian, Yuri Gagarin. [makes circling motion] Then we'd done a lot of things, um, we hadn't really sent people to the moon. So we did send people and they went around the moon. Then we sent people, another crew, to go around the moon and then practice everything but landing. And then a very fortunate person, the many things going right in my life, gave Neil Armstrong, Mike Collins, and Buzz Aldrin the opportunity to make an attempt to make the first landing. And all of us wanted to succeed, and we did, and that's why I'm here. He stated without any ambiguity that not only did his mission succeed, but so too did Apollo 8 and 10.

i dont understand so many things here. first of all, how did the space ship thing de-attach, turn around, and re-attach in space? second, how did they even get that trajectory in space? would the rocket not just go straight, i j dont get how it curves. and then how does the one thing land on the moon while the other orbits? and then how do they launch the damn thing back into the moon’s orbit? and how do they reconnect? and then how do they leave the moon’s orbit after they reconnect if they’re not being launched at that point?? someone smart please explain 🙏🙏

I’ve never understood that if Buzz was the Lunar module pilot why did Armstrong fly it to the landing?
@DemonDrummer
@DemonDrummer Күн бұрын
The title “Lunar Module Pilot” was a misnomer. Every crew member of the Gemini and Apollo missions was called either a Commander or a Pilot. According to several histories, Deke Slayton[1] the boss of the Astronaut Office, insisted that every astronaut would be a pilot. (A “Commander” was, I suppose, something like a “command pilot”.) Even in the Skylab missions, the crew consisted of a Commander, Pilot, and Science Pilot. The Lunar Module Pilot had a vital job that would have been better been described as that of a Flight Engineer. That’s exactly the the title the Soviet Union used, incidentally. But, that title was not acceptable; all astronauts were pilots. Flying a Lunar Module was a job for two highly trained specialists. Neither the Commander nor the Lunar Module Pilot could do it alone.

Proof humans have walked on the Moon: 1. There are over 8,000 photos available to the public of the Moon landing missions that could not have been faked. 2. There are thousands of hours of video too. 3. Hundreds of kilograms of lunar material that has been studied and verified by astronomers and geologists all over the world and showed chemical signs of being on the Moon. 4. The LRRR data laser retroreflector arrays left by Apollo 11, and other subsequent Apollo missions, can still be interacted with today by using powerful enough lasers here on Earth. 5. The SELENE photos which show the damage to the lunar surface where we landed the Apollo missions. 6. The Chang'e 2 photos, which show the lander base. 7. Chandrayaan-2, which managed to photograph another Apollo lander base. 8. A group at Kettering Grammar School, using simple radio equipment, monitored Soviet and U.S. spacecraft and calculated their orbits. 9. Pic du Midi Observatory, which watched Apollo missions all the way to the Moon. 10. The Lick Observatory observations during the return coast to Earth produced live television pictures broadcast to United States west coast viewers via KQED-TV in San Francisco 11. Larry Baysinger, a technician for WHAS radio in Louisville, Kentucky, independently detected and recorded transmissions between the Apollo 11 astronauts on the lunar surface and the Lunar Module. He could only detect messages FROM the lunar vehicles and not to them, cause the earth was between him and Huston. Also, backyard amateurs all around the world were able to tune in on the Apollo audio (not the video, that would have taken bigger hardware, but, the audio was easy) by pointing their Yagi and/or dishes at the Moon. Hundreds (or maybe thousands?) of people in many countries did exactly that. 12. The Soviet Union, who monitored the missions at their Space Transmissions Corps, who's leader Vasily Mishin, in an interview for the article "The Moon Programme That Faltered", describes how the Soviet Moon programme dwindled after the Apollo landing. 13. The absurdity that thousands of people who worked on the Apollo missions would have to be kept silent for years and years without a single person coming forward to claim it was a fraud. 14. In October-November 1977, the Soviet radio telescope RATAN-600 observed all five transmitters of ALSEP scientific packages placed on the Moon surface by all Apollo landing missions excluding Apollo 11. Their selenographic coordinates and the transmitter power outputs (20 W were in agreement with the NASA reports). 15. Images taken by the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter mission beginning in July 2009 show the six Apollo Lunar Module descent stages, Apollo Lunar Surface Experiments Package (ALSEP) science experiments, astronaut footpaths, and lunar rover tire tracks. These images are the most effective proof to date to rebut the "landing hoax" theories. Although this probe was indeed launched by NASA, the camera and the interpretation of the images are under the control of an academic group - the LROC Science Operations Center at Arizona State University, along with many other academic groups. At least some of these groups, such as the German Aerospace Center, Berlin, are not located in the US, and are not funded by the US government. 16. After the images shown here were taken, the LRO mission moved into a lower orbit for higher resolution camera work. All of the sites have since been re-imaged at higher resolution. Comparison of the original 16 mm 17. Apollo 17 LM camera footage during ascent to the 2011 LRO photos of the landing site show an almost exact match of the rover tracks. 18. Further imaging in 2012 shows the shadows cast by the flags planted by the astronauts on all Apollo landing sites. The exception is that of Apollo 11, which matches Buzz Aldrin's account of the flag being blown over by the lander's rocket exhaust on leaving the Moon. 19. Spain and Australia were 2/3rds of the DSN that received all of the TV broadcasts from the Moon. 20. Dozens of tracking stations around the world (including from enemies) used radar and radio telescopes to track all of the missions. You can find more info about this on MIT's site. The tracking was accurate to within 1 mile. 21. Spain had the largest telescope on Earth at the time, and used it to photograph the SIVB fuel dumps around the Moon (which spanned out for miles, thus were visible to a large enough telescope), as well as the Apollo 13 debris and gas field (same dynamic). 22. There are more than 100,000 photos taken from lunar orbit. 23. The Jodrell Bank Observatory tracked the movements of the Eagle Lunar Module from the beginning of its descent clear down to the lunar surface by monitoring the doppler shift in its telemetry signal. Do better, learn.

I can't believe there are people on this planet that believe the earth is flat. Just think about that for a minute. A flat Earth. This is so easy to disprove, a 1st grader could do it. If the Earth is indeed flat, then there are edges to the earth right? A stopping point, a point where one can no longer travel without falling off the earth. So for you Flat Earth people, where is this edge? I'm sure for you to come up with your belieft that the Earth is flat, you have verified the Edge right? What country do these edges reside in? I'm sure there has been a plane that has flown to these edges and video tapped it right? In 2024, I'm sure this has happened right? Must be pictures of these edges? Proof? Good lord. I can't believe this is even a topic of conversation. You realize, actual human beings have actually and literally flown "around" the globe right? They didn't come to some edge, then turn around. I'm pretty sure they believe there's more land beyond antartica. The belief comes from the idea that, if there is more land, that they don't want us knowing about, then they tell us they've discovered all the land on earth and the only other land is off planet. If this is true, it would make sense as a flat earth would completely dismantle our framework and people wouldn't trust the governing bodies anymore. The idea of a flat earth with an edge you can fall off hasn't been their theory for a long time. Most of the videos and pictures you see from outerspace use fish eye lenses which 'capture' the curve. However, you need to be very very very high up to see the curve, so any videos you see from outer space, are mathematically not able to see the curve of the earth. The red bull jump from outer orbit wasn't high enough to see the curve (as said by NDTyson), even though the jumper claimed he could see it. I don't believe in flat earth, but once you do some digging, you'll find loads of contradictions and holes in the heliocentric theory. Do some research yourself, and don't just believe what you are fed. This is the Big Data problem. So much information that you cannot pick out the good from the bad. Also, there are barely any videos from planes flying over antartica, and when they do, it's a predetermined path. Kiribati is a small independent country near antartica, which has a very small land mass. There are always at least 4 container ships there, and thir destinations are always unknown or Christmas island. Also the time zones pass over Kiribati on a globe, which make absolute no sense. Instead of ridiculing people for their beliefs, maybe you should see why they believe it. Also, all the countries of the world signed the antartica treaty. Most of the countries in the world can even agree on basic moral framework...

Because we all know air conditioning cooled 250 degrees Fahrenheit in the sun and the heater warmed up the 200 degrees below zero at night, that 60s technology was something! Too bad we destroyed it all. lol now we can’t even go to deep space cuz of that pesky radiation 30,000 miles deep. Dang it

*_"Because we all know air conditioning cooled 250 degrees Fahrenheit in the sun and the heater warmed up the 200 degrees below zero at night"_* The LM did not use air conditioning. 250 degrees F is the equilibrium surface temperature and an equatorial extreme that takes time to reach. The length of a day on the moon is equivalent to 29.5 Earth days which is why all the Apollo landings were timed to coincide with the lunar dawn. Moreover, in the absence of an atmosphere, there is no air temperature and no convection. *_"That 60s technology was something!"_* What precisely was lacking? *_"Too bad we destroyed it all."_* Specifically, what do you think was "destroyed"? It all? Really? *_"now we can’t even go to deep space cuz of that pesky radiation 30,000 miles deep"_* Deep? The VABs as the name implies are toroidal. They encircle the planet in rings according to the magnetosphere. And why is charged particle alpha and beta radiation a barrier to manned space exploration?

@@yassassin6425 what? lol your attempt to debunk the facts fell short my friend. You believe the landing and that’s ok. But the reality is we were lied to. I bet you also believe Musk space car? Van Allen belt is impossible to get near radiation kills humans. It’s impossible to believe that tin can protected humans. I’m sorry you’re brainwashed, truly but common sense is all it takes to debunk the second biggest lie in human history. 2019 was the biggest , opinion .
