I have never witnessed my cat react to music in such a way as I had whilst I played this album. From the start, she immediately got up from the floor and came over to my phone. She rubbed her head against my phone, nibbed my fingers for pets, and had kept her head up the whole time, as though to display that she was actively listening. I play albums with her in the room often and she always loves to be by the speaker but she has never reacted in such a way before. The shift that transpired in her energy as soon as I pressed play was truly something that I could have never expected nor do I feel as though I can properly translate just how truly captivating it was to be in that moment. Without sounding too ridiculous, I feel as though my cat has found her favorite album and I thank you for allowing us the opportunity to experience it and to share our story. I hope that many others find this gem and are able to share it with their loved ones. Thank you again, from me and the lil stink <3

Can someone tell me where I might have heard Ah Tok from? I don't know if it was sampled in another song or maybe used in the Hey Arnold soundtrack but it sounds so familiar.

You run an excellent channel. I just picked up this record at The Record Exchange in St. Louis last week without hearing it first. I just know that if you uploaded it, it had to be good.

The saxophonist stayed in Cape Town during apartheid, while Ibrahim and others came to NYC, so he’s not well-known, but fabulous!
