I don’t have the code anymore. There should be a a sticker by the fuse box with the paint code. As far as the white, I just picked one out of the catalog, I think this one was Chrysler, Snow White.

I'm starting to binge bodywork content for my vanagon. I've acquired a bunch of tools and parts to get the job done and I hope to paint my vehicle soon. This will be my first rodeo btw...How much paint would I need to order to get the job done? I want to restore the factory color as well. Do you have a recommended source for paint?

Takes a whole gallon to do the body and then about a half gallon to do the top

So do you just not put in insulation after repair of the side? Do you put in weep holes or anything?

Yes you can insulate from the inside. I’ve never put any weeping holes in.

Excellent collection, i've had several Chris Crafts, buy it one day, spend a season putting it together.. put it on the water for one day and it sells later that day. Ask me how i got two Chris Craft Commanders 83, 84 a week ago at auction. Better question what am I going to do with them . One's in Massachusetts waiting to be rescued before the Marina closes at the end of the month,the other was in Chicago. But it's on 55 with me right now headed home. I could use a hand here...lol great collection captain stay up

We normally use a heat gun and remove the paper. Sometimes I’ll send the wood and paint.

Thank you! Definitely, if you watch a couple of my videos, I normally recommend sandblasting the same and then I have a process of working in a rust preventative, epoxy, seam sealer, and then sanding.

Back on the early 80’s a friend would take us out in 62.. 283 inboard.. it was a great sound and old feel ride.. I loved it..

Real Americana. I grew up Summers on Green Lake WI there’s always been quite a few old wooden boats on that lake. Many in flawless condition with an annual wooden boat show in the harbor. Christ Crafts have always been my favorite.
