After I bought this and got a good look at it at home and was curious about the draw string and opening. I wasn’t sure why it was made to be opened so easily. Then I noticed the tubes all had different shapes & sizes. Are some tubes meant to come out to make different sounds? Less tubes = smaller bucks/light sparring? Or is it just because the tubes come out of the holes so often it’s an easy way to put them back in the bag?

Bought the flextone rage last year while walking through walmart . Saw it and the price was dirt cheap and the design looked different so i figured id splurge the 7 bucks to see if it was anything to write home about . Should have spent the seven bucks on a tin pan and a wooden spoon because im pretty sure if i slammed the spoon into the pan , it would produce a much more realistic coyote howl than the flextone . ive owned some flextone calls before and they were decent , this thing is garbage . My kids use it to scare each other with now . They think a snow goose with a really bad case of the whooping cough is after them... if your looking for an inexpensive coyote call pick up a primos hotdog and little dog .

I remember it was back in 2004 at around 2 am, I had my night vision goggles and Remington 700 classic 338. Deep into the Forrest out back about 4-5 hundred yards when me and Dale found The perfect spot and could here noises not too far out. We slit up and I paced around for abit before trying out the the call. Sure enough their was a full sized Cyote peeking out of the vegetation. It's eyes refletec off the moon light and lit up intimidateingly as I could make out most of its features even with the dim green pigment of the goggles. I wanted to see it without them with my own eyes so I to them off. I noticed rustling in the bushes nearby. To My horror, I saw two more cyotes pop out in a sort of preditory fashion, followed by another to the far right of the three! One by one they inched closer ever so slow and I knew their running wasn't an option. At that moment all I could do was stand their, paralyzed with fear knowing that no matter hot hard I tried I couldn't handle my rifle fast enough to kill them all. So I just stood their, awaiting my fate, hoping to God that I wouldn't have to come visit him just yet. And then... What do you think happend next? Reply for an the ending!

really need to play with tuning on this thing.. the line on the reed is useless and the tuning board should be longer...this call seems like it's more of a crow call, goose call... anything but a howler...NEXT!! caller..

Squeeze the bell with your thumb and pointer finger while blowing and twisting the call remember to place your middle finger over the open part of the bell to add a rasp
@Janet_Airlines8028 жыл бұрын
It's a good call, hands free is nice and it works well . But it lacks volume which is understandable. If you try to call to loud, it squeaks and messes up bad. You just need to use it and figure what the max you can blow so you don't scare a buck away. Being able to use it to stop a buck while at full draw is what it's all about. That's why I recommend it.

@mwillis1000 educate yourself on proper game management and you will see that harvesting wild game is beneficial for both the deer and the environment. Im also sure you enjoy your hamburger and chicken. The only difference is that we kill the animal humanely while you eat meat killed in a processing plant.

It might sound funny, but it would be helpful to hear what sound you are making without the call. I know you put the words on the screen, but you are talking about making it more "raspy" or "growling". Just a thought… I have the coyote rage and still need some practice. :-)

Bought the flextone Double Up Predator combo for about $20, My friend and I set up on a farmers land where many coyotes are seen. 2 mins after the farmer drove his tractor off the farm 100 yards from us, we started up the first sequence. We used the "Dying Rabbit". 5 minutes later a coyote appeared 80 yards out. We were trying to lure it closer, but the reed came loose and fell into my friends hand after about 3 sequences of calling. The coyote stopped and went away as I took the shot. Miss!
