fable 2 was so good, I got a special edition fable 3 on release and my god. biggest gaming let down of my life. The combat system was dreadfully simple and unsatisfying. They never expanded the world beyond the few well known zones. Instead they just wore them down, just designed to be uglier and dirtier, they ran the same repeated enemies. It weirdly takes all the sastifaction out of the earlier games to see the shithole it becomes after you've saved the world repeatedly, and 100%'ed everywhere. It hurt, but this music really reminds me of the best parts of the first 2 games, a great atmosphere to aspire towards

The best part of Fable 3 was the Crawler, I thought it was a better villain than Lucien, but neither touched Jack of Blades (Lost Chapters version). Fable 3 had some good laughs in it, too.

This is why halberds are goated. I'm a fan of the gargoyle halberd myself because it's got the big horizontal swing strong attacks without all the staggering the regular halberd has when it misses.

I'm curious as to how other weapons would have fared in such a situation. Character poise would be a factor, of course, and my dude didn't have enough of that obviously. I would give the gargoyle halberd a try but unfortunately my TV bit the dust :/

@@DuchessofEarlGrey Pretty much all the ultra greatswords and halberds should do the trick. Great hammers can be decent as well, but if you wanted to make it really easy just get faith up past 30 and use wrath of the gods to get you out of a bind like that lol

@@DuchessofEarlGrey Also the gargoyle halberd is great because you can ascend it like a normal weapon, despite it coming from a boss. It chops downward instead of stabbing when you do light attacks, and you do a big horizontal sweep with it for the strong attack. I used to make a divine gargoyle halberd whenever I'd get it in runs to cut through catacombs and tomb of the giants more easily.

@@RonTheTryhard I never did get into the magic side of these games. I don't know, I prefer the use of cold steel, so I don't even know what wrath of the gods looks like xD That description of the halberd sounds familiar, so I did acquire it (was from the tail of the Anor Londo gargoyle, yeah?) Wonder why I didn't go with it. How is it for swinging in narrow spaces, though? Thrusting works better for that, be it in a corridor or on a narrow ledge.

@@DuchessofEarlGrey Yeah I feel ya. I've always preferred melee builds over spellcasting. At most I'll usually go faith alongside strength, or pyromancy just as an X factor when I needed it. And yeah, the fact that it chops down from top to bottom does make it bounce on walls and low ceilings in some areas when you do the light attack. That's the main drawback, however if you do a forward+R2 attack, your weapon always pierces through whatever obstacles are in the way so I often use that to mitigate that problem.

The day i beat all the Classic Halos on Legendary will be the day I truly say goodbye. The first I ever heard of Halo was in July of 2020. I played for three days, and gave up on getting Keyes off the Truth and Reconciliation. I can actually say, I have set foot on Alpha Halo, and I played coop with my brother's friend. He moved away in 2021, and I've yet to play Halo again. There was some memories made, but never again.

I love the resurgence in instrumental music I have seen recently and I think a contributing factor is games like these. Many, myself included, grew up playing games like Fable and the beautiful music that came with them. I know it's the primary reason why I looked into composers and orchestra music, it reminds me of my childhood.

Cannot wait for the new fable. Hopefully it’ll be better then ever and I can spend countless hours being a hero truly miss that kid I was with his OG Xbox enjoying fable 1.

Even though I got to play halo on the Xbox one era because I’m younger than most halo players, I’m so glad my grandpa got the Xbox one with halo included for me when I was 8 years old, I would have never discovered this beautiful masterpiece without it, hell maybe i wouldn’t have discovered games like doom 2016 and doom eternal that have a similar aesthetic to halo. Halo, COD modern warfare II and Minecraft made my taste in games, those three built my childhood and many happy memories I have of it.
