Disconnect the battery. Don't just flip the switch off. You can arc weld with that much current. That belt needs to be tighter or it will squeal when the air compressor kicks in.

Hey I wanted to ask you about landstar I was watching one of your videos about taking your SFI truck to landstar can you please let me know how is the process and how they doing cause I want to get a truck from SFI and planning to take it to landstar let me know what your thoughts if you still there
@newhousetruckin46353 жыл бұрын
I actually ended up taking the truck to Traveloko. But then got my authority and now work for a brokerage/trucking company. Honestly, I’ve heard of people having great success at landstar but I don’t recommend them. If you’re able to find a small mom and pop owner operator carrier that’s the best way to do it in my opinion. Where I’m at now we have our customer loads with drop and hook loads, live loads and live unloads sometimes. Pay a higher percentage and take less out of the owner operators settlement.

@@newhousetruckin4635 how was traveloko?
@newhousetruckin46353 жыл бұрын
It was a good company as a stepping stone to your own authority. It’s been a couple years since I’ve been there though and they have grown since then. Overall it was a great place to go if you are looking to dispatch yourself and have someone do your back office work. I’m actually with a company right now and we have a similar package as Traveloko did when I started there

Drivers set the rate. Not the brokers
@newhousetruckin46353 жыл бұрын
That’s not the case honestly. The market fluctuates based on capacity. Right now we’re having less capacity due to places being shutdown during covid. These rates won’t last very much longer.

I'm a flatbedder too drove TMC a year i now have my own Authority. I stretch too and stay in shape. Stretching is key especially with flatbed. I like your videos with your Girls. Great videos. I'm out of Charlotte NC
@newhousetruckin46353 жыл бұрын
Thank you! And it’s definitely important and usually forgotten about. With flatbed work it’s worse if you don’t stretch. Tossing chains, tarps and straps is hard on your body if you don’t keep up with it.

It’s been a while since I’ve been under the tripac. I got out of the truck almost 2 years ago and can’t really remember which wires you’re referring to. I just remembered one connection to the ground on the back side and one was an actual plug.
