We cannot share the beauty of this psalm with the rest of the world - no translation will do - because God wanted to make sure we understood that this gift is a gift from Him to us alone.

The beauty of the words translate poorly into other languages. And so it is for most of the old psalms. Painfully realizing we can only share a resemblance of the heavenly gift due to the limitations of language, we understand that these psalms are given to us alone; a personal gift from God to the Danish people; hence, we must cherish them as such, and love the giver even more.
