I'd say love is more so of an overclock of all other emotions rather than an emotion itself. Love drives anything you feel into overdrive, because emotions are our way of expressing our wants. Love is the greatest want of all, therefore when we feel it, our emotions whatever they may be are exceptionally stronger. Also another note, "Love is virtuous" is a stupid argument, no emotion or feeling is virtuous. If I got angry at someone for kicking my cat, you might call that virtuous. On the other hand, if I got angry at my friend because they beat me up for sleeping with their wife, that ain't virtuous. Emotions only display our wants. When someone kicks my cat, I want to kick their ass. When my friend beats me up, I want to kick his ass followed by sleeping with his wife again. Both are angry, but anger isn't a virtue or sin or anything, it's a WANT for retribution according to your satisfaction or something of the like.

I find this bad faith debate overwhelming. None of these people are actually discussing the issue, they're throwing shit at each other, some more than others. Even FC never answered the "why are you talking if nobody got offended" argument, not really.

I haven't seen these videos in a while, theyre as good as ever Edit: a point I don't think I saw any one making is that it doesn't matter whether or not you love someone, you can love another because it doesn't matter how much you love the first your emotions state that you love the second, it doesn't matter how much you love and respect some one, you'll still fall of a cliff because of gravity no matter how much you love each other. It all finally clicked… I’m a fan of true dark humor (Rick and Morty was my introduction to the idea when my dad explained “it’s funny because it mocks serious topics”) and so many people don’t get that. It’s why I don’t watch meme compilations called “offensive memes compilation” because they aren’t real dark humor. It’s a mix of actual racism, poorly designed tiktoks and soundboard spam. FC is a fucking legend and should be elected leader of the True Dark Comedian army.

To be fair, it's really a harder sell with the mental illness point. Mental illness , as well as depression, can be very different depending on who it is , and mental illnesses that can be developed, or triggered later in life. And there's also an argument if cancer or such runs in the family. All of it kinda fall flat with the depression exception, because it can ruin lives, especially children's. I know this from my own personal experiences . But it truthfully depends on the mental illness/ what the government considers a mental illness. If autism is considered one, then should autistic people not be able to have children despite being stable?
