Hi. I am starting the model railway hobby and currently building my layout. Your videos are fantastic for me as trying to get even the basics sent out here to Thailand costs an absolute fortune and that is when you can get a vendor to ship out here so your DIY tips are top notch. Thanks

Cool results. Here in the Southeast U.S., I'd go with a Kelly green, deep red, or mid-gray tone for the roof. I've found that either using a gray resin (I like Elegoo's ABS-Like 3.0), or using a gray primer coat on other colored resins, makes for the best pre-painting color. You could save time by tilting the walls so that they are 37 degrees from horizontal with the interior side facing the print plate and updating supports.

Thanks a lot for sharing! I will try the Elegoo resin. I also need to invest in an airbrush soon... Cheers, Gerben

Hello from Huntsville, AL USA. I've been using my FDM and resin printers mainly for functional prototyping of mechanical parts for years. However, my work is changing and I now have loads of time available on my printers. I've just started learning the more artistic aspects of modeling and have started experimentation with prints for my HO hobby. Your station design is gorgeous. My printers are the LD-002H from Creality, the Photon Mono X 6Ks from Anycubix, and the Sv06, SV06 Plus, and SV07 Pus from Sovol.

what about Cellulose/paper insulation and Fine Casting Plaster? Wouldn't need the blender, the plaster comes in various sizes, 25kg bag being the best value, £24, and a huge bag of Thermofluff is about £18

I kind of wish maybe you added tunnel lights inside your tunnel when making it. Make it different from the others. Maybe use the tracks rails to power it?

Do you have any tips for printing small buildings? I love printing small structures, but the base always comes out warped
@TheCreativeModellerHO
@TheCreativeModellerHO 3 ай бұрын
What resin are you using? How small is the building? And are you printing directly on the build plate or using supports?

The scaling is wrong
@TheCreativeModellerHO
@TheCreativeModellerHO 3 ай бұрын
You mean the scale of the building? In that case, yes it is smaller than 1/87. You'll find that almost all HO scale building are actually more like 1/100. This is because most people have limited space on their layouts. If I make it perfectly 1/87 than it will look much larger compared to other buildings...
@stillpixel9233
@stillpixel9233 3 ай бұрын
@@TheCreativeModellerHO it wouldn't even be 1/100. Unless it's a small building and you line up the bases vertically as "walls" even then you may only get one wall.
