Great video I just wanted to add one thing. You do not want to adjust your lights to high that will be blinding to oncoming traffic. Big hazard that I am seeing these days is that these LEDs are adjusted up too high so that they are blinding to oncoming traffic! I found the best way to adjust headlights is to be like 25 feet away from a wall, such as a cinderblock wall on level ground and adjust the upper line of your headlight, not the lower.

On July 20th 2024 I attempted to acquire motorcycle insurance with Harley-Davidson Insurance for my 2015 Road Glide. I filled out all the information requested on their website and they gave me a quote of $108.00 for a 12 month policy which I was happy about. Then their site did a search before finalizing and found that I had a previous insurance claim with my automobile, so my quote was increased to $780.00! I've had no accidents and no citations for over 15 years. The claim I had on record was due to a cracked windshield that I suffered from a truck that I was following which was no fault of mine. It appears that HD insurance penalize people for unfortunate situations that was not due to the operator's negligence. I spoke to one of their representatives who said that due to that windshield insurance claim it will take 3 years for my insurance policy to drop to the $108.00 level. I will never, ever apply for another Harley-Davidson policy due to their moronic regulations. I always thought Harley stood up for their riders. Obviously they only care about your money.

Good for everyone riding the bike they want, thats the way it should be and not every bike is made for everyone’s physical stature. I just got rid of my 2016 Goldwing for a 2024 HD Ultra Limited. The Goldwing is a good bike but craftsmanship does not even enter the conversation in comparison. The Honda is lighter because of all the plastic and it is not as stable as the HD riding in vehicle air turbulence on the freeway, it danced around much more than my HD. After the first year of riding, I had plastic rattling on the Honda almost every bump I hit. The Honda definitely had a sporty feel to it, is balanced and handled very well. When it comes to engineering, people may be impressed with Honda but open the rear compartments, the passenger has to get off and you almost cannot even set a helmet on the seat as it opens forward. Side storage, you have to cram gear into the Honda and try to slam the door up before stuff falls out. On an HD, no one has to get off the bike and the side storage loads top down. The Honda is much less of a home maintenance bike vs a Harley Davidson, just try to change your air filter and then you’ll see how many panels have to come off the bike before you can get to the filter, its not simple, it takes almost 2 hours and the dealers are not cheap. If you’re into long trips, thank god for the driver floor boards on the HD vs foot pegs. Lastly the Honda forces a driver into a very upright position with legs forced back with zero room to extend, this drove me nuts. As far as using Highway pegs, the HD is better designed to add ergonomically vs the Goldwing, which is why you rarely see them on the Goldwings. Again, to each their own but there are legitimate reason’s HD’s are more expensive, the dealer markups can easily be avoided as there are many good dealers out there that do not do this. I’m sorry but comments around current technology not being built into an HD are clearly uneducated. Just one person’s experience after owning both. Safe riding to all!

Motorcycles are losing their appeal. Older riders are just that. Getting older and riding less. Young people could care less about riding cross country. India sells a lot of bikes but people over there can't afford cars and bikes are cheap. Not many people these days can spend 20k plus on a bike

The perception that Harley’s have gotten more expensive is wrong. Factoring inflation and they actually cost less. The problem is that people are not riding and everything else costs a lot more.

Great to watch again. Took mine to Alaska & back. Big balls. Convinced I need an after-market performance header to move more air. (staying within warranty of course). Any suggestions? Would a retune be necessary?
@RidingintheOzarks
@RidingintheOzarks 16 күн бұрын
I don’t have enough experience with any particular headers except Rush Racing Performance, I don’t know if they make anything for this motor. If you get more air flow I would do a retune.

I got a 2003 rebel 250 to daily to college and I get a lot of compliments on it. I turned it into a bobber build and people like that they don’t know what it is. I tell them it’s a Honda Davidson. I’m the second owner and I completely rebuilt the bike for it to be my daily, I bought it for $1200 and so far I have only put $400 into it after a year of owning. If you can find one that was taken care of I recommend getting it if you’re considering it as a daily. Parts are cheap, the engine is bullet proof, and no one really hates it. It’s the most fun thing I’ve ever purchased.

if you go expecting an action packed thriller, you will be let down! If you go with more of the mind set that you are watching a "very loosely based" true story documentary; then you will enjoy the film. So my recommendation is to go in expecting more of a history based documentary film that does a very decent job of catching the vibe and era in time of the life cycle of motorcycle clubs.

I agree with you Mike. I was only old enough to ride a Bicycle in the late 60's but I did live in that time period and remember it well. A lot of the depictions were spot on from the painted back of the jackets Identifying the club to their actions, it was lifestyle, not a drama!! I grew up around a lot of real life club members in the 60's. I was the snot nosed kid hanging around hoping to get rides around town and get peeks at some of their babe's titties!!! The "kids" today would not know the real thing if it bit them in the ass!!! Yea... I'm old!!!
