This dear woman saved my wife's life. In the year 2001 my wife had gotten a mysterious abcess on her spinal cord and the staff at UK never expected her to walk again. I had meniscus surgery 18 yrs ago and I'm now back at square one at the age of 58. I work for USPS and getting no assistance as to how to approach another road block. Dr. McLain performed my microdiscectomy (L5-S1) in 2002. I had originally herniated the disc about 10 years prior and experienced low back pain and sciatica in my left leg off and on after the injury. While I continued to be active during that time, the pain became more and more persistent and in the 2 years leading up to the surgery, I was miserable. Many doctors and people in the medical field, including some family members, told me to avoid back surgery at all costs. When I met Dr. McLain, he agreed that surgery was a "last resort" measure but also noted that, given the severity of my disc herniation and the fact that therapy and injections had not helped, I was an excellent candidate for the procedure. The surgery was performed in the morning and they had me stand up by early afternoon. For the first time in 18 months, I had no pain in my leg. I was walking the next day and, and back to regular activities in a few weeks. That was almost 18 years ago and I have been pain free since. Over those years, I have bicycled nearly twenty thousand miles and run in multiple 5k and 10k events. The surgery was truly life changing. If you are experiencing back problems, and have exhausted other options, like physical therapy, I would highly recommend consulting with an experienced spine surgeon like Dr. McLain.

I myself absolutely love this man. He saved my life at 33. I was a sneeze away from death. He is a gift. I trust him with my life. Thank you doc for saving my life. You are absolutely amazing 💗💗💗

Thank God for this Dr. Collis. He changed the quality of my life. I flew from Florida to Cleveland for his care. Recovered in a Hotel. The importance of having his group repair my spine was worth the trip. I would highly recommend anyone in the world that has a spinal injury go to Cleveland, Ohio and seek out his team. Congratulations from the thousands of patients and the hundreds of doctors he has trained over the 61 plus years.

I have a condition in my foot called Cavis Foot- Severe High Arch in both feet. Causing severe caluses and bunions where my little toe is. Eventually I have to get corrective foot surgery. Even when I lose weight, the problem with feet will probably be in the way that causes pressure and pain in my feet.
