Does the IoT (Internet of Things) bother anyone else? An app for this and that. Sign up to give access to your personal data to another company. I got fed up with texting years ago and got hacked. Living without a cell phone and two-factor authentication can be a challenge. I pared down my password lists. It was of 100 entries. Simplifying, and minimizing, so there is room for the important things.

I don't like shoe racks where the dirt from the shoes above drops into the shoes underneath. And in your case into the toy basket. Sorry, not meant nasty. But I couldn't have it.

I do this without thinking about it. My wife and I have plenty of money for our age with even basic jobs. But the key to successful money gains is being happy with what you have. Older vehicles, older phones, smaller wardrobes, etc. We have so much money cushion because of these choices, and it makes life so much less stressful

Dont leave your toothbrush out like that, get a cap or something on it. It's just going to collect fecal matter.

I really don't understand why there are so much content like this. Totally misunderstanding 1. We don't buy or wear cheap clothes or products. We buy quality products that last long. We don't dress like poor people, we dress properly depending on place and people you're going with. 2. Our house might not be super huge like a castle but it will be comfortable for all members and have facilities we need especially for our health. So the pool is need for exercise. We don't want to share swimming pool with others especially after COVID-19. Small gym also needed. 3. We do spend money we have earned but not for showing off but for our pleasure and passion and most important things for our health.

“Looking expensive is expensive”, a phrase I can’t remember from whom I heard. Was referring to the instagram celebrities and flashy rappers that look like they have made it in life but it’s really all a facade. Excellent video, subbed.

This is an excellent video thank you. I’m working on this as well how to keep things you like or use but not let your home in car get too cluttered up with crap that you never use and then you have to try to clean and organize it and it’s in your way. There’s freedom in decluttering and making your home more peaceful and beautiful without having so much stuff

I think having a kid is way too much responsibility 😅! Much more freedom and money savings with my dog 🐶 and two cats. When I travel my mom stays at my house to care for the cats and the dog accompany us in most of our adventures. We have plenty of time as a couple and for our hobbies, doing sports etc. , which is great. Animals are family members too. And I love kids but the things you say about the dog , that's what I think about having children.😅

Wow, this comment section is making me lose faith in humanity. I appreciate the video, Gabe. Minimalism isn't one size fits all, and not a perfect empty house. Minimalism is a tool. Not all people use the same way to hit the same goals.

Rather than trying to look poor, I choose high quality but unassuming clothes and other items that last. I like the idea of being a grey man, blending in with those around me so nobody looks too closely.

Multivitamins are a complete waste of money. Just expensive urine. You aren't much of a minimalist if you pay for scams.

Did you convince your wife to start living the minimalist lifestyle or did she convince you? Any tips for winning someone over who just doesn't believe that a messy environment contributes to their elevated stress levels? (asking for a friend, of course). Also, what do you do about your extended family showering you and your immediate family with random tchotchkes and crap around birthdays and holidays? I literally had to intercept and return a shirt they were planning on giving me for Father's Day this year because I already have more than enough t-shirts. This went over about as well as you might expect

I agree and disagree. Spending money on experiences is something you can never lose. Life success can also be measured in experiences/knowledge. Yes that money could be invested but that's very boring. Also it is not poor to wear plain clothes, have a basic car and buy food at sale price.
