is there a particular order or time for any of these, the way Hula in Hawai'i is all based around telling a story and the dances have to fit the lyrics/plot? or are powwow dancers just going to the beat using choreography/freestyle combinations? I've never been able to figure out one way or another how the full dances are performed but I'd love to learn them!!

Thank you for all of your videos and I feel so inspired in my own dance journey. I am dancer. It's similar style it's shuffling and I feel like I finally understand why I'm drawn to dance with the intentions I put into them. Your words really resonated with me.

OMG I didnt know that native dancing had so many different steps. Ive gone to pow wows and the dancers make it seem so easy. I am fascinated by Native American culture. I understand fully your, and your people's pain. And i admire and respect your brave and resilient spirit. Keep strong. Keep brave.

I was always grown believing that I was just a darker Italian woman and that I had Italian, polish, etc, but I never looked like them. When I met people from my tribe and my history, I felt at home to see that I fit in among them. Thank you for sharing this and allowing me to see who I am 🫶🏼

Taiguey! Im a member of the Taino nation and I was just had a question about powwows. Would I be allowed to wear the regalia of the northern tribes as well as dance the dances if I have a relationship with the tribe, know the dances, and know the songs?
