To the Boiler Nation - we bleed the black and gold regardless. All these fine young men and their coaches who represent us do us so proud. We are blessed to have all you faithful warriors who have fought and worn the Old Gold and Black. This year was another special year!

I was at the UVA game in Louisville that we lost in overtime after an 👿 ssible bounce and UVA went on to win it all. people keep reciting that haven't been to final 4 since 1980, but the 2019 team should have been. This team is better.

This is brilliant!!! An old chubby grandma sitting here crying at the computer at 3:55 am watching what we have experienced this year after 50 plus years of cheering on the Boilers! My favorite Boiler has always been Brian Cardinal, but he must share that spot with Mason now. Both guys give their all for the team!!! Am so proud of this team and happy for all of the Boiler nation!!

Was never a fan of Purdue basketball until my daughter attended school there. Boilermaker, class of 2021. I've been to a few games at Mackey during her years there, before Covid and sat in the student section. What a crowd. That atmosphere is literally insane. BOILER UP!!! Oh and damn, they sure do hate IU with a blind passion.

The team and Matt did this for all of us. The pain and tears of the 80s, 90, 00s is real, so too are the tears of joy. From the earth to the moon, and now a final four. Purdue alums have a lot to be proud of, we see it in the faces of this team.

Watching this awesome video and reading through these comments brings so much relief and joy to this old Boilermaker (Krannert '83) but the job is not done yet! We want to bring a Banner home to Mackey, the National Championship. Go get it boys we are so proud of you and backing you with all our might. BOILER UP HAMMER DOWN!!!

I'm in my 30's and have been a Purdue fan my entire life. My dad went to Purdue and he introduced me to the pain of Purdue athletics from a young age. Growing up in Indiana I've always loved basketball. We've been through a LOT of shit over the years. Missed opportunities. Squandered leads. Extremely poor play. Terrible, season-altering injuries. It's been so frustrating. I think the pinnacle of sadness for me personally was losing to Little Rock in 2016. It was our second straight first-round exit, on the heels of missing the tournament the 2 years before that. I was in a very bad place as a fan. That loss took a lot out of me. Then Haas getting hurt in the first round. Then what happened vs Virginia. Then what happened vs St Peter's. Then what happened vs FDU. My god how much can we take?? To finally put it all together and reach a final four is a dream come true. I don't know if it fully heals the pain of all those losses and setbacks, but it sure as hell goes a long way. I will be making the trip to Phoenix this weekend and I am incredibly proud to be a Purdue fan. I'll be wearing the black and gold with pride all week and hoping to see us have a chance to win a title Monday night! Go Boilers!

They almost were the first #1 to lose to a #16 in 1996 when the Brad Miller/Chad Austin team only beat Western Carolina by 2 and it took every second. Now is the time for redemption.

No one deserved what Purdue just accomplished more than Matt and all the players and fans over the years. History has already been made, just need a little more. They beat a very good TN team w/o playing their best, except Edey, he was an absolute beast. When they hit on all cylinders no one can beat them, including Uconn. I look for a blow out against NC State setting up a mammoth match up everyone wants to see. Grind on and Boiler up Purdue. The heartbreaks are over it's now glory time. Enjoy it. Great video by the way.

Look at the 2:03 mark. Dude's jersey is getting ripped off, no foul call and the putback from the other team for the win. One of the worst non-calls in Purdue history.

I’m 50 years old. I didn’t really start being a huge fan until I got to Purdue in 1991 so I didn’t really get caught up in the three amigos to know what a big deal it was that they lost when they did. But I’ve been there for all the other tough things. I was at the Duke game in Knoxville. The VCU game in Chicago. The Virginia game in Louisville. And then all the other low moments. The Hummel injury robbed a national title team; I will go to my grave thinking that. Sunday was one of the most cathartic and healing days ever. Words really cannot describe it but this video perfectly encapsulates all of it. I’ve watched it several times and have cried each time. I’m so happy for this program right now.

I'm right there with you. I've said it ever since - that 2010 team was Painter's best team. In my opinion, the 2010 team was even better than our current team. There's no doubt in my mind that we make the Final Four in 2010 if Hummel doesn't get hurt. Hell, we made the Sweet 16 WITHOUT him. Absolutely no doubt in my mind we get there with Hummel. It's a damn shame what happened to him. I'm glad he's doing well but man did that suck.

I believe you have to be in your late 40s or older to truly understand the heartbreak of Purdue basketball over the past 40 years.... ya had to be there and remember all of it to finally given the grace we received this Easter (and beat TN in the afternoon that day!): it was truly tear shedding moment for me. The 1988 team was truly great and profiled in this video. The 2000 team just had to beat Wisconsin to advance and had a flat game. I was there in Knoxville in 1994, I was in Memphis in 1997 vs Kansas.. played them tough until they ran the tables... so much suffering... I am fully healed now.
