I've been a subscriber for several years now, and am glad to see your business doing well. You were on the forefront of the "distroplate craze" and even now are still selling yours at what I would consider reasonable prices where I've seen some other much larger companies charging $3-500. Now that they are more common that may not be the case but i remember looking years ago at yours thinking wow that really is a great price for the amount of design, build, assembly and polishing you put in. I've yet to build a full custom looped system but when/if i ever can i know where I'll go for the centerpiece and wish you the best in future.

Hello, I have a vpp655 vario since 2006 working. I had a problem with the rotor. It seems that the area where the ceramic sphere rests broke due to fatigue, I suppose. I bought a new rotor on Aliexpress and the exact same thing happened to me that happened to your client. The rotor collided with the block (alphacool HF d5). The decision I made was simple. Replace the O-ring with one that further separates the pump from the block. I think it would be a simpler solution for your reservoirs. All the best
@radikult-customАй бұрын
Hi 👋, probably the impeller is a bit out of balance and that’s why it’s making some noise inside the reservoir. Unfortunately there is no easy way to balance an impeller, but putting a thicker oring to separate the pump a bit is a good idea. 👍 I have already change and updated the pump inlets on the reservoir to prevent any of the issues with impellers hitting the reservoirs. Thanks for the tip maybe someone can read this and help them
@CrispiburguerАй бұрын
@@radikult-custom That's what I thought when I put it together and indeed when I raise the revolutions to more than 3/5 the rotor vibrates. I'm going to buy a new block and pump. I don't know whether to apex or go to what I know works and take a VPP655 again that has been working for many years, but this time I will take the PWM version. I think it is not worth buying an Apex because it no longer has the ceramic dial as I have read. Great job you do, I always wanted to make my own blocks, but I never had the money to buy a decent CNC. All the best

Greetings from the UK, thank you so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge. It has been a while since you made this rebuild using repurposed equipment into a precision fixed gantry milling machine. Would love to know how well it has performed. Btw can you please tell me how to create the gcode for running the speed tests you showed in this video.
@radikult-custom5 ай бұрын
Greetings 👋. I have build a few CNC and by far fixed gantry is the best type for precision. The Gcode was made in a CaD program like fusion 360, just cutting a circle in the air are different speeds for example.

@lt-custom Thank you for your reply. The problem I have is getting hold of the type of extrusions that 80/20 Inc make are not available in Europe/UK and the only way to get hold of them is someone can bring when travelling in our direction but depending on the lenghts/weight that can also be a problem. The nearest quality one can get to strenght is maybe getting profiles supplied by Mitsumu but their prices are very expensive for small orders. BTW - did you ever get round to covering the x-axis with Epoxy? Would love to see more videos of your cool machine milling different materials. Take care my friend.

Does this fit the o11 Dynamic as well as the o11 Dynamic EVO? What size radiators top and bottom?
@radikult-custom5 ай бұрын
Hi Yes the Twin 360 will fit both cases. But for the Evo you will need to select the extra option of C brackets kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h8mVrKWLyavccmw.htmlsi=fvbc9o49q0oIxvpL As for radiator sizes. I try 45mm thick and no problems there. It could fit thicker you just need clearance around the GPU or top of the MB

1:30 Try using rigid-closed-cell-foam insulation sheets without the "Foil Faced" from Home Depot, Rigid Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) is what I've used. THIS stuff is what you want to use, because you can then work in 3D instead of 2D cardboard, & is sold in 1 & 2 inch thicknesses. *For example what you're building now* you could make it trapezoidal where it gets thicker as it goes in giving you more room on the inner surface of the res for your pump mount. You can also cut these sheets with your CnC (a laser would be best) as a last step to make sure what the data you entered is going to fits the case & the outlets to the CPU/GPU in/outlets align by just using the data to cut the outer shape & holes for the fittings, should let every job come out perfectly the first time... I am sure you have made amazing res/pump combos the wrong size.
@radikult-custom7 ай бұрын
I did in the past. It’s why some very specific items I use templates or cardboard just to double check and make sure I didn’t mess up or missing something. I will check that cell-foam next time I go to the hardware store
