As an ex W203 owner I was impressed by your knowledge of these problem areas. My W203 suffered with almost all of the things you mentioned at one point or another. They are not like deal breaker things. Especially, when you get the joy of these cars while everything is insync, and working as designed. I just needed a little more reliability for my driving needs, so I moved back to boring, plain, and simple Toyotas again. I sorely miss German cars but constantly keep reminding myself I am at a stage in life where driving is out of need now, and no more fun factor; or who knows I'm just probably too old to deal with the aggravation anymore.

This video is very useful and accurate. You can literally do it with him as he talks as an instructional video. It worked for my 1999 Mercedes-Benz E320.

I have a 2012 C250 Sport model with the Harmon-Kardon 8-speaker "premium" system using the Harmon-Becker amp located in the same left-rear location behind the felt facade. I am now on my third amplifier as the MOSFET/Capacitor blows out every 4 years or so and you suddenly get an alarming loud crack, whizz, pop, and hissing sound even when you turn the CD/Radio off! You must immediately remove fuse #67 located in the right-rear access panel to avoid damage to your speakers until you can replace the amp. A used OEM one can be had on eBay for about $175. It has plug-in connections, so you don't need to cut or splice any wires. The whole removal-replacement should take about an hour or so. (The most time-consuming part is removal of felt facade that covers the left side of the trunk.) These amps seem to have an Achilles Heel with the output transistors but are a lot cheaper to replace with the used ones I mentioned but be prepared to replace then every 3-5 years unless you install a multi-channel aftermarket amp. Thankfully, it is not necessary to re-program the head unit based on my experience with these faltering amps. I would have expected better from Harmon and their Becker-designed and manufactured multi-channel amp.

I bought a w211 e320 petrol rear wheel driving, but when I got it, it had this lag when stopping at red lights etc or when I am driving outside town with ~70 to ~ 100 it didn’t downshift to start speeding, it would just very sowly and gradually accelerate, I found this video and did the same- it worked(awesome), however it lasted around a week and I had to do it again, it got fixed again. Then I left the car for around two weeks and it was the same, it didn’t downshift when I try to overtake someone or speed up, even with the gas pedal to the floor. Any idea if something else is the problem? I did this today a couple of times and it kinda worked when I start the car, it accelerated and there was no lag, then it comes back…

I just replaced my motor not long ago and it went out again I do have a very bad leak from the sunroof do u think the water is causing it to blow my motor for the sunroof

Problem with my sunroof is everytime I hold the button to open or close or tilt my sunroof it only registers as a click instead of a hold so I have to keep clicking the button to open or close or tilt the sunroof.

I never expected this to do anything but it WORKED! The first 1st to 2nd shift of the day was long and ended in a hard hard shift unless you "eased" into it. Now after performing this simple process, it's like a new car. Also, the other issue when driving thru a parking lot stuck in 1st at 2300rpm is gone as well. All shift points are crisp and firm. THANKS!!!

I bought a old 211 2003 just for stop gap turns out I truly love it but now had problems with air suspension. Had some silly quotes but doing my own research and sourcing a part from a breakers yard I have managed to get it fixed for about 300 pounds .

Hey Justin.. thanks for this Bro! I just bought that exact same car but am worried that the previous Owner did not do the regular maintenance on her. So this video helps a lot. BTW - the battery was replaced right before I bought her and a "ESP' error code comes up. I tried to turn it off with the instruction on the dashboard and also tried to recalibrate it by turning the tires all the way L/R but it keeps coming up. Not sure if this is a real problem or just a calibration issue. The drive is smooth and have not felt any issues with driving control. Your Thoughts?
