I am 58 years old and Disabled. I hate to say it but I see no hope in my future to get back to feeling a little better with more mobility. From the information you have given us about your own health issue. I believe you being on the other side of the desk along with others like myself. You understand and have more compassion than some doctors, I wish there were more doctors out there like you.

I treated myself for trigger thumb. Iced it, splinted it, massaged it... nothing worked. It wasn't until I really got deep into the tendon and found the pinch-point that things improved. I ground at the nodule and force flexed my thumb through some painful sessions, but it worked and I haven't had a symptom in over 2 years. Hi Doctor, I have been experiencing tightness all towards the back of my head around the ear area for several months now. Was in a lot of stress and also in a motor vehicle accident as well. This is great info. I have recently being seeing an osteopath and I am definitely getting some improvement. I have to sleep with the head of my raised due to reflux and this is killing my neck. Hello Dr. Joseph about a month ago, I had a cortisone injection between my 3rd and 4th toes. But it had an extreme reaction and my foot swelled and was very painful. The swelling and bruising are gone now. However, I can’t step after this injection while I could before that. Normally, if I walked for a long time or my feet swelled, I suffered from Morton's neuroma. Unfortunately, now I’m experiencing it all the time. I have pain with every step I take, so I can't step. Is this normal? I live in Turkey and unfortunately there is no one who recommends a solution other than surgery. Could you please guide me? Can I do it myself like in your video?

If you do it yourself, you can feel how much pressure to use. He's pressing very deep into the skin, so he doesn't know if it hurts. I do these treatments myself and I press deep enough to feel and hear that scratchy sound, and I massage at least 3 times a day. It doesn't go away that quickly. There's always a sore feeling, but over a few days, the pain subsides. You need more than one treatment to feel a difference.

I have been suffering from this for about 7 or 8 mths. It started with my left wrist and now it's also in my right. I have watched all the videos and have done everything I can think of except go to the doctors. The videos basically said the de quervains would last around 6 weeks. Not true! I wear braces on both hands and suffer through the night as well. I am constantly squeezing my wrists to hopefully alleviate the constant pain and stiffness. My wrist crackle and snap. I don't have arthritis but I also have what seems like de quervains because I can't do the thumb thing test. I take the nsaids to no avail. I don't have the money to go to the doctors and the videos say that there's really nothing they can do short of corticosteroid shots (painful! doesn't always work) and then surgery. Still, money is the issue. I'm 60 so I know I will have age pains and I just try to push through it. I just can't stand this much longer. Your video came on and I was listening to it from another room. My ears perked up because I think you have made more sense to me than the others I combed through. I'm going to start from the beginning and really digest exactly what's happening inside my poor wrists. Just wanted to say thanks for taking your time to go the mechanics of the wrist and also make me stop doing things like stretching, massaging, icing, etc., while my wrist is obviously deeply inflamed! Thankfully no pain, and finger is not locked in bent position but it is annoying nonetheless. About a year or 2 ago, it was another finger, but it went away on its own. So, i'm guessing my currently affected finger will be ok too. Thank you.

I recently had middle and ring finger done 7.25.24. Stitches are internal with steri strips on the outside. At this point not to much discomfort. But the only follow up is in two weeks via phone? Also I work on computers 7 - 9 hours a day, should I have gone right back to work? I did not have locking fingers but extreme pain. During the surgery, the surgeon stated, there was a lot of "gunk". What is this gunk?? Was also not give much home therapy. Just to keep bending the fingers.
