Bjorn's death was epic though sad. I had goosebumps
@southernlady5085 Жыл бұрын
@@giblin91 Definitely. It gave me chills for a slightly different reason. I’ve traced my lineage to a couple of notable Vikings on one side of the family and on the other side to folks from the Celtic nations, both during the same time periods. It was strange to think that this series was portraying a period of time that my ancestors would have experienced, and possibly been a part of events being portrayed, knowing of course that the series took HUGE liberties with facts. It still provided a sense of what life was like in the Golden Age of Vikings, at the height of the Iron Age and prior to the medieval period. It was a real transitional period for the Celtic nations. The school system in the US seems to not place as much importance upon this as American history but I find this period fascinating because things are so rapidly changing for both Scandinavia and what would become the UK. Alfred the Great’s chronicle is an incredible record of primary source history, in fact. Strangely, this is how I got into LOTR. I started reading some of the Norse mythology and read how Tolkien incorporated Norse myth in his works. Fell in love with LOTR and am presently reading commentaries along with Tolkien’s other works. And through that, I found the movies. Wild ride, lol. I really love the movies. They are perfection! Best movies ever made!

I played this while I was walking on a grass field that’s a wide open space behind the park, there was a sunset with pink clouds, I was wearing a white off-shoulder dress, it was summer, there were birds chirping, fireflies starting to come out, it was breezy, the grass felt soft, and everything around me was nature and this song was playing on my phone. I literally felt like I was in Heaven. In paradise. I felt peaceful. 💕😇👼🏻

I think I've watched this video about 100 times. My watch history is just this video over and over again! Gets me every single time. Btw, what did you use to edit this?
@giblin914 жыл бұрын
As I did this video mainly for me, to express a lot of feelings related to the song, the movies and what they convey, to know that there are fellow "mellon" out there is always heartwarming. I used Adobe Premiere CC, but what I did was just taking cuts from the movies, which is the basic and can be done on any video editor tool :)
@Ella-hq9ih4 жыл бұрын
Giblin van Bauzanum Nice! Thank you. Yes, I always love knowing that there are many “Mellon” out there too. Tolkien and the Lord of the rings story has brought us all together☺️
