Nice video. I did the same today at the post office to see if both weighed the same. Just wondering, how did you get it to stay on grams? I bought mine at a car boot sale for €5 but every time I turn it on it shows LBs.

I keep having wifi connection issues on this box. It seems to happen when I am watching my tv recordings. I don't think its happened whilst watching say Apple TV+ you know the apps that require your Wifi connection. If anyone has a solution please do reply to my post. 😊

You will need an aerial to watch live TV via freeview, you can watch the catch up's which uses the apps if you dont have an aerial.

Quite a lot, depends on the volume level you have, they fit better than the cheap ones so do block more external sound out.

People may find plenty of resealable bags from those Covid test kits. I am considering this or the slightly more expensive a20i. Since your review over 4 months ago, how has the battery life been for you? Anything else worth mentioning, like on ear controls?

Be interested to see a follow up to this on TX, SWR readings etc as far as I am aware there is very little gain with Discone antennas.

Other than a basic test just after I installed it I have not used it to TX with. I just did some basic test on 2m and it was ok. For me its more of an added bonus and a backup TX antenna should I ever need it.

Thanks for the reply. Yes I completely get that, I have dedicated outdoor antennas but also a Diamond X50 in the loft as a back up. It does surprisingly well, I can open up a Hubnet repeater 30 miles away with. I have the HF Discone in the loft as well which is great for general monitoring, it even picks up some distant LW/MW stations when the conditions are good. 73 Franco

I think it saves the recording it is currently making, Ive only used that option a few times when I first installed it. But its still installed and working.

I got this in November 2023 and I'm almost pleased with my purchase. The only thing with this is there's no option to edit programmes recorded or to add a title if manual record is selected.

Thank you! Does this dash camp start running automatically when you start the vehicle and shut off automatically when you turn off the vehicle? Also does it have like a continuous video loop where it erases old video while recording new video?

Yes it starts when engine starts and stops when turned off and yes it over writes the old video once the memory card is full

Not really tested the TX, I had this more of a backup for TX its mostly used for RX on a SDR and that is working great.

H Connected my box via LAN yet still get a message that says to use these features connect to the internet next to the message is a red x but I can’t delete the message even though the box is connected. Also can’t get the remote to connect to the box so can’t set record programmes via the Aura app So annoying Steve

Another video did a comparison on the mic quality between different wireless earbuds including the P20i, the mic is very good for earbuds in the price range. It's not as good as your phones mic, but it's plenty good even outdoors in low-wind conditions.

The Arris Freesat boxes have Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, but not Disney+ Apple TV etc. that the Humax Aura has.

I've got a problem pairing my new Humax Aura FVP-4KGTR/GB/2TB and a LG tv model 32LQ63006LA. I believe I've followed the the instructions correctly as described during the "pairing process" and as described in the operating manual without success. Communications with Humax Technical Support have not helped. Unfortunately, during Duncan's videos the pairing process was skipped over to be performed later. A short video describing this procedure or tips would be most helpful. I already have an earlier model Humax box and a LG tv in our lounge that I paired together easily over 2 years ago. I cannot give in and it's driving me mad. Many Thanks

Have you tried the app support to tweak their sound? I have other Soundcore devices and the app has varying degrees of influence on each of their performance, IMO, so I'm wondering if it makes a big difference for these or not.

You can watch freeview without internet, but you wont be able to use any of the apps or other services, as soon as you power the box on you have to connect it to the internet, so if you dont have internet you would be better with a standalone freeview box.
