My notes for later: 1. Use a grain synth on a sample 2. Try adding some time manipulation, like 'grossbeat' 3. Try using a filter before the time manipulation, so it only timebends the highpass for eg 4. Maybe throw a vocoder or, try some FM, various modulation bits, such as pitch, filter

Video like this should have much more viewers. Many good stuff in this interview and very entertaining. Renoise is insane. My tool.

i make complex drum patterns in vital by having random modulate the lfo speed in notes. specifically the kick and the hihat. snare in some cases. the type of randomness i use for that is sample and hold. your patches are pretty good

This looks like a way more interesting way to make risers than white noise & LFO + EQ automation
@SynphamyMusic2 жыл бұрын
Just gave it a try with interesting results, especially if you layer a couple of different sounds with the same automation. Sounds great with a flanger effect too. Can't remember which dial it is (the one that altered the forward/ backwards momentum) I love that you can change the automation the make it linger on the more interesting parts of the waveform. I'll definitely be using this more going forward. Thanks for the video! Really helpful!!

You could call the Maximus technique “dynamics indexing”? Or non linear dynamic manipulation… Lol great video btw very sick song ad very sick sounds
@edenci09132 жыл бұрын
I think a cool in-between sound would be to export the square automation, reverse it, add pitch delay, then export and reverse again. That way you get the smooth whooshy effect that doesn't lose the abrupt changes.

That's a really cool idea! I actually did something similar recently for a sample pack I'm working on
