I think if any "distro" adds software to their "store" needs a pay a sum out of distro's donations to the devs/maintainers. If the distro uses the "package" as its core packages within the OS they should be paying the maintainers with no questions asked. This is needed for FOSS to live on and Improve.

Can you walk us through downloading LLM Guard and an LLM to demostrate how you executed your test? Do you need an api key to use LLM Guard?

i was a linux only user and not use other OS just arch linux and test out Fedora when they have some pre-release testing.. as soon as i heard about this backdoor.... i wiped arch off all my desktop and install windows 11 Pro back on all my pc..... a user that use linux for about 25 years now and feeling safe on windows wtf..... i really dont trust linux anymore :(
@marcux832 ай бұрын
not sure that was the appropriate response. how do you know there is no backdoor in close sourced Microsoft windows?

@@marcux83 im just using something that is not linux atm.. im waiting on a linux base audit on the system.. f or now im on windows ... not saying its 100% either, but for now linux is quite unsafe and also buggy i've been kind of not been happy with linux for awhile now lets just say the backdoor didn't help it lol

Have you ever considered having a session on LLAMA?

Great idea! I've tried to use cloud hosted models for simplicity on the scanning/demo side, but worth setting it up for sure

What are your thoughts on bumping versions and creating incompatibility, need for regression testing, etc. I agree the fixing can be THAT easy but then do you test every time there is a change?
@aviad-chen2 ай бұрын
I would say yes. If you have a good test coverage in place, and no breaking changes in the minor upgrade of a package, why not? The idea is not to merge every day on every updatr, but if you do it on a weekly basis, per the new versions, it won't be that noisy
@latiotech2 ай бұрын
All I can say is that this used to really scare me, but I've never had an image break from just running nightly builds with the same dockerfile auto-grabbing the latest patch version fixes. Conversely, this happens frequently with SCA type vulnerabilities bumping open source library versions.
