Maybe someone can answer this. Using this purge procedure it appears to me that the volume inside the manifold is not purged since there is no flow through for and of the purges (low side, high side and center). Am I missing something? If we care about the volume inside the hoses why don't we care about the volume inside the manifold?

So how would you purge the yellow charge/vacuum line if you only wanted to check the system pressures without adding refrigerant? I am trying to figure out about the air in the yellow line when the refrigerant is transferred from the manifold back into the system. I dont want to suck the air in the charge line into the system with the refrigerant. Thx

I worked maintenance at a DVD manufacturing plant and you did a great job explaining the esoteric diagram in an A/C unit. I've saved this video an will be looking forward to the next one. Thanks so much.

You are the best , you're the only person that ever explained this so easily , any dummy would understand. GREAT JOB .WITH YOUR EXPLANATION I COULD NOW EASILY CALCULATE SUPER HEAT , it's the sat. Temperature of the refrigerant ,could be r22 ,or r410a ,or r134 etc, scale on the low side gauge ,and measure the temperature of the low side pipe/line then subtract it from the gauge sat. Temp.😂

I have a dual capacitor. I want to get a second for emergency 45 +5 370v. my existing Fan as 2 connectors, Common has 4 connectors and Herm has 3 connectors to hook my wires to. If the one i want to purchase is marked S, C, and fan, does it matter if S, C, and Fan all have 4 connectors to wire to (instead of 4, 3, 2 connectors)? I thought the manufacturer may have included 4 connectors for each for convenience sake when connecting wires. Is that true?

This is why I service my own unit to make sure it's done right. Every time a technician hooks up gages without purging lines, it introduces a small amount of air into the system. If a homeowner has the unit serviced twice a year, as recommended, the air adds up and degrades performance. This video is the first one that popped up for me - with over 216,000 views, it's teaching lots of people to do it wrong.

The compressor unit seems to be working and the liquid line gets cold sometimes at the evaporator, but the suction line is warm from the evaporator back to the compressor , why?

Hi.. Is it possible to install a capillary tube or orifice in place of the expansion valve, and does the cooling efficiency decrease?

Thank you so much for your videos, Ron. I couldn't even get this much information from my teacher... 🤦‍♂ Part of the reason is that most of the students in my class act like they don't even care about learning any of this. I don't understand it. What's the point in having someone pay for you to come to school, and you're not even going to put in any effort to learning this stuff?... 🤷‍♂

Could you make a video on the problem of open windows with a running. You know, humidity holding on to heat then making the work harder and raising the electric bill. Many husbands and brothers and fathers will thank you.

So when the pressure/ temperature correlation tells us when the vaporization/ condensing temperature are then we can find out how much superheat/ sub cooling we have to measure efficiency. Got it. Thanks awesome video
