I totally felt "hopefully she forgets about the eyelashes" 😂😂 totally get it! As a mom who loves to craft myself and craft with my kiddos as well, we want everything to turn out as perfect as it can be. Lol I'm most definitely that mom too. Love your videos! We'll be making our first pancake art pancakes here in about 10 mins lol so I know I'll be thinking the same thing when my daughter suggests something similar 😅 absolutely love that you bring Jesus into your videos 😇💕🙏🏼 You are raising your children right mamas! Haley-thanks for the comment! I made this video many years ago but it still totally makes me laugh. We definitely try to make perfect crafty things but our kids really don't care. It's all about the "mama time" they get. So glad you gave pancake art a try with your kids too!

Hi Jenni! I have never tried pancake art but I am definitely going to try it out! Do I need to grease my skillet before starting? Also, do I need to warm the skillet before or during the drawing process? When do I set it to 200? 🙂

Thanks for the comment! Yes you should grease your skillet with a little bit of oil (I apply mine with a paper towel). I set my griddle to 200 before drawing. If your outline drawing is cooking too fast you can turn the heat down lower or you can turn it off for a minute until you finish your drawing. Then fill in the outlines and then turn your griddle back to 200 degrees. Hope this helps...have fun!! :)

I like to keep my griddle around 200 degrees. If it gets too hot, it will brown the pancake too much and ruin the colors.

I get my squirt bottles (they are also called condiment bottles) at Walmart in the Kitchen Gadget isle for about one dollar. Super cheap! Hi Allison! I know that Bisquick comes in Gluten free but I've never tried it for pancake art. I've always thought about trying it though. Let me know if you do...it would be good to know!

Hi Jada! Thanks for the comment! Turn your griddle to 200 degrees and let it warm up for about 5 minutes. Some griddles are hotter than others so if you find that your griddle is cooking your pancakes too fast, turn it down a little. If your pancake cooks too fast, it will brown your pancakes and ruin the pretty colors. Hope this helps!!
