Any issues (cracks, warping, deterioration) with the plastic cage? It looks like they've changed that in all their current lineup and now have SS frame cage. Thanks

At least you didn't have to pound out the dent in your UltraMax. I can say much about the freight company. I got my UltraMax after the season was over so I'm looking forward to using mine this season (2023). 😊 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/i85phc912bu3lXk.html Love the space you have. My honey shed is the 11x8 storage room at one end of my wood shop. There must be something about us big boys and their toys: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/h8mpZcthmeDPiIE.html I don't see a part 2 video. I'm interested in the amount of honey that you've extracted from 18 frames? It's been published that I can shoe horn 12 deep frames in to the UltraMax. I've extracted 5 gallons of honey from 10 deep frames last season. I think that 12 frames is going to over flow a 5 gallon bucket. What was your experience with the strainer on the bucket like? How fast does a 5 gallon bucket fill up?

What are orientation flights?
@AmericansBee
@AmericansBee Жыл бұрын
Bees, after hatching, will live inside the hive for about 2 weeks or so. Afterward, they will begin to leave the hive to graduate to a "forager." Before they leave, they need to orient themselves to where they live. So, they fly in figure 8 patterns to see where they came out of and learn how to get back to their hive. After a day or two, they become full-time foragers.

I'm gonna get some bee's.. Fixing my yard up for bee's, chickens.. Any hints, tips for what plants I need
@AmericansBee
@AmericansBee Жыл бұрын
Go to your local nursery and see what plants the bees are on. Ask the experience workers there what ones work well. Avoid any modified plants that make "better flowers " the bees prefer more native or original plant flowers. I noticed in my area that they love purple colored flowers. Plants with a lot of flowers are better.
